cowboys and their 7-6 win over the skins shouldnt be above us either. just goes to show how subjective power rankings are.

These rankings are so unfair. The NFL needs to switch to some kind of a playoff system.

hey I'll take a win over the redskins anyday. the cowboys skins is usually a ugly game...especially over the last few years. and that is a team that has often beat dallas. Ironically the cowboys offense still ranks among the top ten in the league. and unlike prior seasons when the defense was among the league's best statistically they were giving up a lot of points. This year the defense leads the NFC in points allowed but is in the middle of the pack in stats. I think if anything the turnovers on offense are down, and improvement on special teams are leading to better defensive play. I would put the cards and cowboys about even at this point.

Let me get this straight - A bunch of folks cooked up this fake football contest where self-proclaimed experts rank the teams. And then everyone follows the weekly ratings and get pissed off.

To quote singer Jay Pee Morgan - "Try to imagine how little I care."

The only power ratings that count are the W & L ones.

and nashman you are a cardsfan no? have not the cards been dominated in a game or two?

cowboys killed the weak opponents they have played like seattle TB...even atlanta a decent team. They didn't play great againt carolina, but they silenced the best RB twosome in the league and won by double digits. they have struggled against their division opponents which is nothing new but at least are 2-1 in the division which is a win for the moment. Even the great cowboys teams struggled in their division. the packers game was bad, but GB is not chopped liver. they are in the hunt as well. The cards haven't been without struggle either. they lost at home in ways you would think a playoff team would not. at the end of the day these teams have the same records and both have had a couple of warts. A blind cowboys fan would say dallas is clearly better so give me some credit for being honest....

Vegas, baby, yeah!
Meh. Realclearsports.com takes all the power rankings and meshes them all together.

According to all the media pundantry, we're currently sitting at 7th, with a total ranking of 6.88.

Link: http://www.realclearsports.com/power_rankings/2009/NFL/11_24_2009.html

Top 10 Teams:

1. Saints
2. Colts
3. Vikings
4. Patriots
5. Chargers
6. Bengals
7. Cardinals
8. Steelers
9. Cowboys
10. Eagles

Almost everyone agrees we're around the 6-7 mark. Fox dropped us low at 11. ESPN and Yahoo had us at 5.

Here's proof of Fox's knowledge. Broncos are nine and Giants fifteen. They play tonight at Denver, and I believe the Giants are favored. I'll go with Las Vegas.

I think a lot of people are re-thinking now if vegas had the gmen favored. On a short turnaround like that having to travel as well....i can't think of a worst place to visit against an above average team. when denver is good they are really tough to beat on the road.
