The year after he took the Vkings to the SB, he was a free agent & signed with the woeful Boston Patriots. He also played that year with a badly injured knee that would sideline any QB both then & now. He felt obligated to earn his contract, so he was HEAVILY taped up & lost all ability to move. The Patriots were so bad, that they kept him out there to just put fannies in the seats.

Joe Kapp played in 2 Grey Cups, winning one of them. He spent his 1st 8 years in the CFL. He is in the CFL Hall of Fame. He was once traded for 4 players. When he came over to the Vikings, they had never even played in a playoff game. In his 2nd season there (1968)he led the Vikings to the playoffs. In 69 he threw 7 touchdowns against the defending NFL Champion Baltimore Colts. By now, he was an aged QB, whose knees were shot. Now please tell me what David Woodley ever accomplished to be considered a better QB than Kapp???

Well, I know Woodley sucked, I'm not going to argue that. Actually, I really don't want to fly the flag for Joe Kapp sucking the worst of all Super Bowl QBs. Woodley can take the crown.

The list says the worst, but it does not really mean they are bad. Personally, I always thought Terry Bradshaw was a very average QB... surrounded by a stellar team and he was the epitome of a game manager

For the regular season, yea. But, when the playoffs came around he was a big time QB. I can't think of any other QB who was pretty average in the regular season but then lit it up when the lights were the brightest. His Super Bowl performances were iconic.

I think Joe Flacco's earning some of that recently.

All in all, I would change my vote to Dilfer. The Ravens offense was so bad it was amazing they made the playoffs but as we all know their defense was '85 Bears scary good. I mean, that team won with a QB combo of Tony Banks and Trent Dilfer. The reason why Dilfer should win this list is because he was so bad the Ravens dropped him for Elvis Grbac.

True, I don't think he was the worse starting QB but just thinking about some of the QBs which where not exactly great QBs. The only reason we are talking about this is because we did not make the Super Bowl and say with pride the worst starting QB... Lindley :D
