The strategy is sound. Except the part that as injury prone players get older they tend to get injured more often. Not less.

And here I thought Keim's strategy was to bypass all those retread, injury prone NFL free agents and strike it rich by stealing and signing USFL players.

Yup. If you’re building anything around JJ Watt, all you’re doing is creating a castle made of sand. That article completely ignores that outside of Hopkins, the other guys… eh, forget it.

That’s a whole lot of ifs to rely on, especially with our lack of depth at CB and WR and DL. I certainly hope we are the 10-2 team but the way it all unraveled at the end just left me with a feeling of despair.

BTW, how old is Jess Root??? I think I have t-shirts older than him.

I don't doubt that this is Keim's strategy, but it is an extremely flawed one, to put it kindly.

The defense fell apart last year solely because the two most injury-prone players on the team were injured? If so, that is a dumb strategy that would be even dumber to replicate again this year. If the offense completely goes in the tank without Hopkins, it's time to rethink the offense, not run it back with the older vets who couldn't get it done last year being another year older.

Completely ignores chase’s loss. 800-900 yards, largely ignored by almost everyone. Kinda baffling to me.
I think this is the biggest issue nobody seems to be talking about.

I’m more concerned with the RB position than WR right now.

Assuming they bring Green back, I think DHop, Green, Moore, Ertz, Williams and Conner bring plenty to the passing game. You know Hopkins and Ertz will see 8-10 targets a game each, Green will see 4-5, all signs point to Moore seeing 5+, Williams is good for a couple and then RB’s will see 3-5. We can only throw so many times. Judging from the Hernandez signing coupled with Bringing back Ertz and Williams, I’d also expect us to run the ball more than we’ve ever seen under Kingsbury. How though do we do that while being 1 snap away from the fearsome due of Eno Benjamin and Jonathan Ward?

The Titans, one of the most run heavy teams in the league were and still are one snap away from D'onta Foreman and Dontrell Hilliard. But were still the 1st seed in the AFC despite losing Henry early.

There are always a ton of RB's sat on the couch which is how the Titans picked up Foreman.

I still expect Keim to pick up another late RB signing like he did with Conner last year. Darrel Williams would be my choice.

I’d be good with Darrel Williams.
