Would McNeil go before D'Brickshaw if the draft was re-ran?

McNeil has dominated while D'Brick has been slightly above average.

Who has more long term upside?

I think it might be too close to call. You gotta love Brick's physical assets, but the proof seems to be in the pudding for McNeil.

That's right; I used a denny-ism.

Well remember what Pasquarelli pointed out, the reason McNeil wasn't a first rounder is he failed a lot of teams physicals because of a possible stenosis (narrowing of the spine) condition. Len P said the Chargers did a batter of tests and finally decided he was worth the risk, but he's apparently had some back problems this year. Len said everyone had him #2 until that stuff showed in his early physicals.

I'm guessing no.

McNeil was rated around #15 overall before teams discovered the severeness of his injuries. He slided to #50.

If everyone knew McNeil was going to be this good, then he would have been drafted much higher, but I doubt he would have gone before Ferguson. I think teams (especially the Jets) learned a lesson with Robertson.

Remember, Ferguson has lived up his hype. McNeil just appears to be the most complete OT since Ogden

Ferguson has been average at best. He's give up like 10 sacks already, gets flagged often, and he's not a great run blocker either. He needs to hit the weight room because right now he's just weak and he gets pushed around a lot.

Which also pretty well describes his play during his senior season. I just didn't see the domination you would expect from a guy being touted that highly.

Not a chance because of his back issue.
