The only hitch in this deal is AK47's Health! If he is cleared and there isn't a problem with a reoccuring injury I say do it! If there is any chance of his injury reoccuring then I say no way.
I don't know what the nature of his last injury was, although I'm pretty sure it wasn't the same broken bone he suffered at the beginning of the year. But his presence on defense would be just what the doctor ordered for the suns.

He didn't break a bone in the beginning of the year.

AK suffered a severe knee sprain early in the season, missing 26 games. He returned back to form, only to break his wrist at the end of the season.

For some reason people on here are calling him injury prone, and even claiming he had surgery. Neither is true.

Calling him injury prone is the same as calling Amare injury prone for missing a good chunk of last season.

Thanks graham, I thought it was a bone in his leg, maybe the bone in his wrist and the knee injury crossed the wires in my tired old brain :biglaugh:

IMO AK is overrrated. Marion does just as much as AK the only thing the Suns would get is another player that can create his own shot. But with Amare, Nash, and JJ I don't see why we would want another player that needs the ball to create his own shot.

They want face up players, guys who can create their own shots. JJ might be relaxed of some of that if replaces Q at sitting at the arch.

The thing that may swing this deal is that if Utah can get Korolev at #21. To add Marion, Q and a guy that could be AK47 II might make the deal enticing enough to get it done. They can then go and sign a FA pt. guard, Breven Knight, Earl Watson or Dan Dickau.

You make it sound like this deal is that all legitimate. It's not.

I see it as a deal that BC would propose, if he can't get it, he would probably move on to something else. I do think it has some merit. It is definitely something that Utah would not throw at the Suns.

I guarantee that Bryan Colangelo is not proposing any deals to any teams that involve Steve Nash, Amare Stoudemire, or Shawn Marion. I'm about 90% sure he isn't proposing any deals involving Q or JJ.

I would agree with that. However, I do think that he is listening to deals about Q and Marion - and will be for the next couple years.

Never know how things get started in trades. Assuming that this rumor has any validity (which it probably doesn't), I could see Utah asking about Q to replace Harpring - and things growing from there.

What I am trying to say is that I don't believe anyone on this team is being shopped, with the exception of Jake. However, I do believe that BC is listening to any offers that may come up involving Q and Marion.

I have found a useful deal, but it struck me that the Suns could trade Jake and Walter to someone looking to unload a contract for a little under $4 million. Since both of these guys have player options, the other team gets the trade exemption and out from a contract. The Suns get a player without using their MLE. Great idea, just haven't found anyone worth bothering with.

Walter waived his PO reportedly.

From what I understand is these two guys cannot be traded because of those options. They exercise the option to remain with the team and then they can be traded. If they want to go to another team the just opt out and the team cannot send them some place they may not want to go.

That the whole point. Someone who wants to get rid of someone for cash and a trade exemption.
