Bill Williamson, of the Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings owner Red McCombs has been hinting that relocating the team could be as, or even more, viable as selling the team. When asked if the Vikings would play in Minnesota this season, McCombs simply said, “We’re here today.” He remains pessimistic that a new stadium deal will be approved by the state this year. Their current lease with the Metrodome runs through 2011.


<p><font color=blue>Wouldn't it be great if they moved before pre-season begins? No pre-season game in Minnesota for the Cards.</font>

Well the Lakers move from Minn. to LA seemed to go well, maybe the Vikings could have the same luck.

this would suck b/c then I wouldn't be able to drive 7 hours south to see the cards play!!!!!!

sorry dudes , about the link not working. I should have double-checked it before posting it.

like Catbox said, to make a long story short, there is a half-billion dollar plan in the wings to fix-up the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA, to try to perhaps some day coax an existing NFL team into it or to maybe lobby for an expansion team.

<p>Sorry Cardforlife----we definitaly don't want to upset our Candianian friends. Like Cardinals.Ken said, I wouldn't mind if the Vikings moved to Canada; anywhere as long as the Cards don't have to risk life and limb playing in that poor excuse of a stadium.
