CLIFFS AT BOTTOM.

Seriously, what is real these days?

It's pretty obvious this slam dunk contest was all scripted just to the NBA can promote KIA (The NBA's "official" car or whatever".. Its very obvious they let the NBA's most explosive player and possible future face of the league get passed the other contestants and win so he can promote this giant KIA commerical. It's even more obvious the judges were in on it because all of griffins dunks sucked and lacked, THEN they kept saying "oooh thats a great looking car! Thats a nice car!!" Yeah right, you really think these millionaires thinkg a piece of **** KIA is a nice car!?!?

Cliffs:

-Slam dunk contest was just a KIA commercial
- Slam dunk contest is rigged by NBA to let Blake Griffin promote a KIA.
-Griffins dunks sucked
-Judges rated gave him high scores anyways to advance through
-Judges gave low scores to other contestants with better dunks than Griffins.
-Piece of crap KIA rolls through the court.
-Griffin dunks over the hood of the KIA
- Everyone on TNT keeps mentioning how nice the KIA is (advertising it).

It is appropriate that All-Star, particularly Slam Dunk, was held in La-La Land.

Hollywood has definitely taken over the event.

At least, we'll have a basketball game tomorrow night. They can't screw that up . . . can they?

Oh, it was a KIA. I was wondering if a car might damage a B-ball court when they rolled it out, but those cars are cheaper than Griffin's dunks tonight. I like the "Imported from Detroit" car commercial much better.

Hmm, I'll count on the two big "home" boys to win MVP.. Kobe or Blake.

I was really looking forward to see Griffin dunk and the first one was impressive but hardly anywhere near Vince Carter's epic 2000 show. The over-the-hood-of-a-car-dunk was ... nice but nothing outstanding to me.
I liked McGee's double dunk on two baskets by far the best.

I see you have a good grasp of the NBA.

So wait a minute, let me get this straight: Are you suggesting that the NBA influences the outcomes of its events so as to enhance marketability? I've never heard of such a thing.

Yeah, it was underwhelming. Kenny was making a show out of it, and that was supposed to be Blake's role. Blake was his usual disinterested self, he needed to show some showmanship imo, it's all about the crowd getting pumped up. Then again, he didn't need to do that because of the hype that surrounded him already. It's like he wasn't really trying to impress, he just knew he would win.The choir was just corny, and the KIA is pure marketing. Only dunk that I liked from Blake was the elbow dunk, but that has been done before.

I expected more creativity, I think McGee should have won it, he had the most interesting selection of dunks.

Didn't the Suns briefly have a European player on their roster who jumped over a car in a commercial or a stunt? And this is way back.

I think mcgee and derozan got kinda screwed.

I just can't believe this. It's not even fun anymore like it used to be.

To me this is clear evidence that certain Reg. Season games, and playoff games are swayed toward certain teams to win.... Not like it wasn't before, but this just solidifies it.

Rumor has it that Griffin left one spectacular dunk off the table. Apparently he was planning to dunk over a Sprite can while eating a chalupa and talking to Charles Barkley on his T-Mobile phone. Perhaps he's saving it for next year. I'll be sure not to miss any of the NBA All Star weekend action on TNT with my Haier flat screen.

Marko Milic

A much more impressive dunk than Blake. It appears Marko jumps over the middle of the car instead of just the front of the car and it appears he leaped from further out.

Thank you for the video.

Blake's dunks were good. The event is a sham either way but to say his dunks sucked is ridiculous. The NBA is just a big show, always has been. No reason to get upset about it.

Yeah, I agree most are going overboard here. Blake's first dunk was a very difficult one, his car jump wasn't all that impressive and Javale and Derozan each had at least one dunk that was superior to anything Blake put up but he still had a pretty solid performance. I'm sure the fact that he was a local player contributed to his winning but that's nothing new. The all star game and related events have always favored the local players. Maybe he shouldn't have won but he wasn't that far off the mark.

McGee's final dunk, head to head with Griffen, was just not that good or spectacular. It took away any chance he had of defeating the hometown guy (if he had any chance at all in a pre-ordained exhibition).

McGee should have done the elbow dunk for the last dunk as Griffin did earlier with such bravado.
