Mississippi State linebacker Jamar Chaney lived up to his reputation for speed during his Pro Day workout today.
According to a league source, Chaney was clocked between 4.45 and 4.48 seconds in the 40-yard dash on NFL scouts' stop watches.
Following the workout, the Oakland Raiders conducted an extensive interview with the former Bulldogs standout.
Chaney was the fastest linebacker at the NFL scouting combine with an official time of 4.54 seconds ahead of Florida State linebacker Dekoda Watson's 4.56.

I never look on 40 times. On tape, he is by far the best LB i have seen in a while. top 5 player on my list in this coming draft. He can cover, he can read, he can tackle, rarely gets broken or allows yards after contact. Most impressively, he can deal with blockers as well. He is the real deal

Dansby is not the complete player this guy is, he can replace him from day one

My question is-----why is Chaney not on anybody's top 100 listing if he is all that? Not sarcasm, just asking.
he had a broken leg the previous year so that may be a reason. He'll start climbing up the draft. I think he was defensive MVP at the Senior Bowl. He'd be an excellent 3rd round pick,if he's there.
