...are the most by a Cardinal player in 40 years?!? Was watching the Rich Eisen/Marshall Faulk FedEx Air & Ground segment and Eisen said that Warner's 5 TD's was the most in 40 years. That's hard to believe.

Also, while on the topic of numbers I thought some of you might get a kick out of 4,700. That's the number of days since the Cowboys won a playoff game.

The funny thing is how unimpressively (maybe routinely is a better word) Kurts performance seemed. Maybe it was the way we also had the running game working, but it just seemed so natural. I hope this was just a glimpse of how great this offense can be when we can rush the ball consistantly.

I don't think it's that hard to believe. I'm surprised another Cardinal has even done it. 5 TDs in a game is a pretty big deal.

Charley Johnson was the quarterback that threw for 5 touchdown previously. I really liked him. I thought that he was one of the most under appreciated qb's in Card history. If memory serves me correctly, the US Army decided they needed his help and then a couple of years later made a comeback with the Denver Bronco's for a while.

The other team Warner threw 5 touchdowns on was the 9ers in the regular season.A big deal at the time due to the 9ers having a long, long victory streak over the lambs at the time.

I don't think the Rams beat a team with a winning record in the regular season that year...

I'm not sure why you would say that. It's not like they chose their schedule, nor were they are winning team before Warner took over.

Doctor Charles Johnson I presume! I have a DVD of his highlights. Think I'll watch it again!

I just would have guessed that Lomax or Hart for sure would have done it or Boomer or Blake in some kind of fluke game.

Something else I noticed from the Cardinals record book was that the next 300 yard game for Warner will tie him for the most all-time as a Cardinal.

He has actually thrown more passes as a Cardinal than as a Ram and should surpass in yardage this week and TD's this year.

Even 4 TDs in a game is very unique for a Cardinal QB. For instance Warner had thrown 4 in a game only once as a Cardinal, Plummer had 4 twice, and Lomax only once.

Hard to believe that Warner has also started more games for the Cards than he did for the Rams and has been in Arizona almost as long as Plummer was.

Forget the lambs Warner will FOREVER LINKED to the CARDINALS and some other team he also played with and did the same things for.

The lambs were 4-12 the season before Warner started his NFL career as a starter. Most NFL teams with 4-12 records do get as much help schedule wise as the NFL can give them.I remember Warner's first game beating the Ray Lewis lead Baltimore Ravens with a 4 touchdown game and that team called the Ravens was'nt far from a SB title themselves.

Warner beat some very good teams that year. The Bucs in the NFC Championship were also not far from a SB title. The farve led packers were also beaten in the playoffs as old man favre threw 6 not 5 interceptions in a playoff game.Actually I think the packer game was a playoff game in "01".I think the lambs played the vikes and bucs in 99-00.

I'm old and have brain tumor so what do I remember?:D I think the packers and eagles were the two teams they beat in the 01-02 playoffs as that was 9-11 year and the refs let the patriots do everything to the rams and Warner hit in the face by Vrabel on his pick six and it went uncalled.Brady did nothing in that game offensively but in the last 48 seconds to get his team in FG position and they gave him the MVP.What a joke.Warner had 365 yards and a bloody face. They broke Isace Bruce's ribs out of bounds early in the game and ask Marshall Faulk if they held him on every play in that game so he could'nt even get out of the backfield.

Both Martz and Faulk mentioned the game on NFL Network and said neither were allowed to comment. You know Belicheat paid for that trophy.Plus the refs did what they did to seattle against the steelers but more against the lambs in that 9-11 game, moreso than a SB game.Fiasco is what it was. Then we got the NEW PASS DEFENSE rules applied to the NFL AFTER that game and the fact that the wonderfull head coach of the colts was on the competition committee and the pats were beating up on Peyton and his recievers the same way and they could never go anywhere in the playoffs they changes the pass defensive rules so you can't hold and hit after 5 yards. The whole lamb SB would have been flag day if those rules applied earlier that year.

So thats how the passing game has evolved in the NFL.Wonderfull is'nt it.I'm glad now Warner has a great pass recieving team again with a chance at a running game like he had with Faulk and Holcombe and we can WIN the SuperBowl the next time.I only wish it would be against Brady and the patriots.120 yards passing in a SB does not an MVP make.

Without defensive scoring and the help of the refs on a 3rd down grounding NON call the game would have been over.Sham game.Predetermined. Call me what you want. Watch the game play by play with me and I'll show you everything before you call names.Marshall would gladly show you the same things.

Kurt needs 2 more touchdowns this weekend to reach 200 in the NFL.Although the Hall of Fame will add his records from Arena and Europe as they added Warren Moons Canadian stats to his Hall Of Fame career.Longevity was the final thing Warner had to prove and coach Whiz gave him that chance.I'd say its paying off in spades.Glad Chili dog is now gone and coaching in a 4 team league where he belongs.Although he could draft pretty well.:D

He probably shouldn't be teaching NFL history "[The Cardinals and the Steelers] were both founded in 1945, '46...somewhere around there."

Cards oldest rivalry is with the Green Bay Packers who they first played in 1921.

Next oldest is with the Bears who they played at the end of the 1922 season.

Johnson threw 6 TD passes in one game for the Cards. I would love for Warner to tie that record this Sunday.
