Crawled Through 5 FB Fields
Top 5:
1. Kevin White (West Virginia)---imho just leapfrogged Amari Cooper as top WR in draft. Eye popping game tapes now matched with size (6-2 1/2, 215), speed (4.35) and strength (23 reps---tied with Sammie Coates for best). Looked electric in drills. Stood out all day.
2. Amari Cooper (Alabama)---ran 4.42 at (6-0 1/2, 211)...did not lift. Tons of excellent tape.
3. Devin Smith (Ohio St.)---ran 4.42 at (6-0, 196)---uncanny deep ball tracking ability makes him a 1st rounder. Only 10 reps at 225, but that won't discourage teams that want him to stretch the field.
4. Jaelen Strong---ran a 4.44 at (6-2 1/2, 217)---looks like a faster version of Anquan Boldin. The 4.4 40 moves him up, locks him in as 1st rounder and possibly as one the top 3 WRs taken. Some teams would prefer his all-around ability than Smith's. Didn't see him lift---one would think his strength would be one of his best assets.
5. Dorial Green-Beckham (Oklahoma)---ran a 4.49 at (6-5, 237)---looks every bit the part. Tall, angular and highly athletic.
6. Sammie Coates (Auburn)---raised his stock with a 4.43 at (6-1 1/2, 212). Plus, led WRs with Kevin White with 23 reps at 225.
7. Philip Dorsett (Miami)---4.33 at (5-9, 185)---did 13 reps---he's small but well-built and blazing fast.
8. Rashad Green (Florida St.)---4.46 at (5-11, 182) for a WR that I believe has the best hands in this class.
9. DaVante Parker (Louisville)---4.45 at (6-2 1/2, 209)---didn't look quite as fluid in the drills, but check the tape on him---he has an uncanny way of beating defenses. I don't think he's the 1st round lock that some do.
10. Chris Conley (Georgia)---ran a 4.35 at (6-1 1/2, 213)---did 18 reps---has eye-popping physical traits and some solid (but not spectacular by any means) stats at Georgia. Teams are going to love his upside. Whopping 45" vertical and 11'6" long jump!
This year's super sleeper?
J.J. Nelson (UAB)---ran a blistering 4.29 at (5-10, 156)---returned 4 kickoffs for TDs this past year---made several All-America teams.
Tre McBride (William and Mary)---ran a 4.41 at (6-0, 210) and looked very good in the drills.
Tyler Lockett ran a 4.40---which puts him in the 2nd round conversation.
Ty Montgomery (4.55), Jamison Crowder (4.56) and Stefon Diggs (4.46) all looked solid, but imo did not move them into the 3rd round conversation.
Another under the radar WR:
Kenny Bell (Nebraska)---ran a 4.40 at (6-1, 197) and looked very fluid in the drills.
Four of the Best Possession WRs:
Devin Funchess (Michigan)---ran 4.70 at (6-4, 232)---moves him down
Nelson Agholor (USC)---ran 4.44 at (6-0, 198)---3rd round?
Justin Hardy (East Carolina)---ran 4.56 at (5-10, 192)---4th round?
Antwan Goodley (Baylor)---ran 4.46 at (5-10, 209)---4th round?
This is a DEEP and very exciting class, peeps!
