I DON'T follow them at all, but I remember a big blue beast and some guy that threw playing cards in the cartoons. How come they aren't in the movies? Are there more characters that they are leaving out? Sorry if these are dumb Qs. I'm just curious.

Gambit is the cajun with playing cards you're thinking of--there was a rumor that he was actually in X2 but his scenes got cut--I believe that is false, but he may be in X3.

As for the Beast, I'm not sure what they're going to do--you see a glimpse of Colossus in X2, but I'm not sure if they're going to bring in the Beast. (If I'm not mistaken, the Beast was also a brilliant scientist--that true, comic book fans?)

They were going to make Beast CGI (like scooby doo) but I guess the costs were not economical.

BTW, in the first movie, the truck driver who gives Rogue a ride into that Canada was the voice of beast on the cartoon

"The Beast", aka Hank McCoy, was in the original X-Men comic in 1963. He was a scientist who developed a serum for bringing out latent mutations.

His dad was a scientist who was exposed to radiation and so Hank's genes were altered, making him a mutant. The serum brought out all of his mutations and he became "The Beast".

Gambit rocks. Hopefully he will be in the third movie. He is Director Brian Singer's favorite character.

Hell yeah, Gambit is by far the most interesting character.

Beast (Dr. Hank McCoy) was in X-Men 2...for about 7 seconds. He was still in he "non-mutant" form doing commentary on a TV program playing in the background in a bar scene.

And yes Chap, Dr. McCoy is indeed a brilliant scientist in his own right.

I can't stand Gambit.

French-Cajun, French-Canadian, Belgian-Waffle, it doesn't matter...they're all still French!

Gambit was referred to in the computer with the plans for the other Cerebro.

I just watched the first X-Men for the first time and thought it was great. Great story, excellent cast and good action. :)

What a disappointment. I thought this was going to be about Anquan Boldin playing himself in the new X-men movie.

If my woman could morph into any chick I wanted...... :thud:

I don't think I could do her in her "blue" form :barf:
