what is "Action"?

You must be registered for see images attach

In the guitar and similar instruments, the term action denotes the distance between the fingerboard and the string, which determines how easy it is to sound notes when pressure is applied with the fingertips. Generally a low action is considered to be more playable, due to the lower amount of pressure needed to press the string to the fingerboard. However, if the action is set too low, there is a danger that the vibrating string will strike the frets or fingerboard below it, creating an unwanted buzzing noise (on fretted instruments, this is known as fret buzz). Conversely, if the action is too high, then the strings may be too taut to fully depress.

The action game is a video game genre that emphasizes physical challenges, including hand–eye coordination and reaction-time. The genre includes diverse subgenres such as fighting games, shooter games and platform games which are widely considered the most important action games, though some real-time strategy games are also considered to be action games.

In an action game, the player typically controls the avatar of a protagonist. The avatar must navigate a level, collecting objects, avoiding obstacles, and battling enemies with various attacks. At the end of a level or group of levels, the player must often defeat a large boss enemy that is larger and more challenging than other enemies. Enemy attacks and obstacles deplete the avatar's health and lives, and the game is over when the player runs out of lives. Alternatively, the player wins the game by finishing a sequence of levels. But many action games are unbeatable and have an indefinite number of levels, and the player's only goal is to maximize their score by collecting objects and defeating enemies.

Now that the xbox doesn't require bundling, you can now afford more action games and possibly musical instrument teaching games.

On stringed instruments:

Pretty much. It is always good to have a full setup done when first buying a guitar and then as needed during ownership. However, a good guitar tech is likely as hard to find as a good mechanic so choose wisely.

On Xbox games:

Just depends on how good the story and game-play is. :D

To be honest this has to be done. Look, I personally love Kinect but the problem is that is only works "most of the time". That is not good enough when my controller works 100% of the time (unless I fat finger a button) with more precision which counts in most games.

They never should have focused on making it a primary way of controlling games. There are lots of things it does pretty well. Look at Kinect Labs on the 360.

What they should have done is focus or give incentive for developers to make Kinect a supplemental feature in games for those that wish to buy one. There is a HUGE HUGE missed opportunity for adding features in First Person shooters or interacting with a door or panel using simple gestures. That is just one example where you wouldn't have to depend on exact precision but yet get some really cool features.

Maybe that can still give some incentive for developers but I doubt it. Nobody gives a damn bout the Playstation camera and neither do their developers.

ONE game has dropped for kinect and it is a bomb (kinect sports) edit: dancing games too. woohoo.

Even when it was mandatory, developers didnt caqre.

Its cool, i expect some fun stuff will come out at some point but i agree, it shouldnt be mandatory.

Kinect party was free on 360 and hours upon hours of fun. Xbone needs to hurry up and at least do something that we can play on kinect because im not buying that piece of garbage kinect sports and have no interest in dancing games.
