Xtra Sports 910 sucks

Didn't see a post on this, but Xtra 910 is getting rid of Tony Bruno in the mornings and putting on freaking DAN BICKLEY...

Not sure how many fans there are of Tony Bruno, but I love that show, it gets me through my 45 minute morning commute, and now all that will be on is Dan "I love myself" Bickles...

I haven't listened to 910 for more than a year now. I don't like national shows and Gambo / Ash are brutal.

Actually Debaca / Hellestrae aren't too bad, & I like to listen to KTAR for news too in the morning.

If I had my choice, I would always want a local radio show, even if it's not that good. The local angle on sports for me is always more important.

I can get a national show any evening or by turning on the TV.

You could always get XM satellite radio and get Bruno.

Seriously though, will another station pick him up, or can they? Like KMVP 860. I hope so.

I usually listen to the local shows, but like Bruno and Rome too.

In the mornings we actually listen to 550 (KFYI) with Bruce Jacobs talking politics.

And today is Friday - anyone here listen to Liddy and Hill on 550? From 5-6pm it's PC Friday. Hilarious. Everything they discuss is politically correct.

Highly doubtful.

Bruno is syndicated by FOX Sports and KMVP is the ESPN affliate in town. So, even though Xtra will not air Bruno, they own the rights to the show in the valley.

I thought ClearChannel owned everybody...

I listen to 1060. They have local guys. I stopped 910 over a year ago. Gambo is a moron and so is Ban Dickley.

1060 is my station in the morning. during the day I will switch back and forth between 910 and 1060 if they are having a game on.

Yeah, it's amazing how after only a year or two 910 completely degraded. They used to have the best lineup from 6am-9pm. 1060 was terrible.

Completely reversed now IMO.

I have not and will not listen to sports stations anymore. I vowed to stop mid way through this season and have not listened for a second. They are pure garbage most of the time from the dumb water cooler to the idiots that open a mike in the afternoon on all three of the so called sports stations. I'd rather laugh or sing with a cd than to listen to for the most part the most arragant people in this wqrld. Everyone is entitled to thier opinion, but I for one don't want to hear it anymore.

I agree with jkf. I listen to these guys every weekday morning. They are a lot better than MJ and Lewis. More entertaining, more informative, and NO WHINING!!!

Damn, call me nuts... but my dial is locked on Howard Stern from 6:00-11:00 a.m.

During commercials, I'll switch to KTAR or some sad sack local sports morning show.

I like Dan Bickley. He tells you like it is, even if he comes off a little arrogant. He's THE sports journalist in town... and usually is right on the money wih most of what he has to say.

I thought Jacobs was an idiot when he was on sports talk. My opinion has not changed now that he is doing politics.
Although I do enjoy Barry Young on 550 when I have a chance to hear it.

During lunch it is 1060 when I go for my daily walk.

I listen to the 1060 on the way to and from work. My drive to work is only 10 minutes each way though.
