OK. We lost a game. 7-1 now. A bunch of players are hurt, some out for the year. So, I’m still thinking we’ll lose 3 more game, finishing 13-4. I’m hoping there’s a solution for JJ’s absence, but doubt there’s enough cap space to go after a top rated d-lineman. What do you think?

11 wins. With the current state of the roster, the Cardinals will go 4-5 down the stretch.

Thats really pessimistic.

I don't see that happening unless kyler gets hurt.
Not going to lie, I'm pretty pessimistic right now.

This team has some serious injury issues and it can get out of hand quick.

I'm starting to think the team needs to make another move to shore up the defensive front. Even a mid tier NT might really help right now.

I saw nothing last night that indicated we are about to fall off a cliff and end the year like we did last season.
AJ Green turns around many would be blathering idiots predicting Super Bowl championship and 17-0.

That would be Corey Peters. Nobody out there is better than him. He will be back for SF.

We just have soo many winnable games. I have a hard time seeing less than 12-13 wins at this point.

I don't think this is Krang trying to resurrect his anti-jinx, either. And I think he's right to be pessimistic.

I'm going to go with a final record of 12-5, with us going a lackluster 5-4 down the stretch. I just don't think we have built the winning attitude enough to have the right approach game in, game out. Not yet. And we have some huuuuge injuries that will crush us.

I want to see how we recover from injuries and play against SF in ten days. We we win there and I think we're still looking at a 13-4 squad, lose there and I think we go 12-5/11-6.

that was just a crushing 24 hours of Phoenix sports. Literally, from 8:30 pm Zona time Wednesday to 8:30 time Thursday, we lost Watt for the season, the Suns looked like crap and then had a miracle rally to of course lose on a buzzer beating three and then last night was almost the exact same scenario for the Cardinals.

get back to me post Niners game and many days away from the 24 Hour Phoenix Sports kick in the balls before I can say anything with a modicum of certainty. whatever the hell that's worth!

This...some much this.

The Watt injury news was what started it for me. I think if Watt plays, the Cardinals win this game and it's like a 10 point victory. Has his play been that impactful? Not really, but I think his absence had an overall effect.

Nope. I'm legitimately down in the dumps about this team after last night. That swagger was gone for most of the game. It came back on the game winning drive so there is some hope, but I see the tail end of the schedule featuring an injury-ravaged Cardinals squad. Murray can't keep taking the hits he is taking. It has to stop.

Lol our juxtaposition from offseason to in season cracks me up. Last night stunk. I may never forgive aj green. But even with all that stinkage kyler won the game on that final throw (but then aj lost it on the receiving end). That’s some swag right there. That’s some major league huevos on our QB. The team will rally around him. The 10 days gives some injured players chances to heal. We will have our work cut out for us stopping the run for the rest of the season. But this team is still special and just a hair from magical last night at the end. I say 13-4.

14-3. The Cardinals are pretty damn good. They were the better team last night just everything went against them in the game.

I would have loved to be one of those 'blathering idiots'.

Remember everyone: It was just one game in a long season. Come January, during the playoffs, it won't be that big a deal.

Plus, it could have been much worse. Close your eyes for a moment and picture that being the last play in the Super Bowl. What would we feel like compared to last night's ending?

This...some much this.

They gotta get over that fast... and is why it made his signing risky in sin the first place. A player THAT positively impactful can also really devastate a team when his body breaks down on him in the middle of the season.

I hope we don’t go woe is us and don’t think we will. We’ve got a mini bye to get people healthy and once we get Hudson back in there, we can roll SF. As long as that happens, the ship gets righted.

Hell, even if it doesn’t, if we’re 7-2 with the Panthers, Seahags and Bears, we could EASILY go to 10-2 and get back our swag before a big show down game with the Rams at home. If we win that Niners game, 10-2 is the worst I think we’ll be by the Rams game and we could easily be 11-1 at that point.

Reality is last night was this version of the Cardinals first PRIMETIME showdown. They looked REALLY stiff in the first half. They got that nerves game out of them, played like total crap and still almost won. Not time to panic at all.

My main issue last night is Chandler Jones...not even within 6ft of Rodgers. I'm not even entertaining tagging his ass. The man has been a ghost since week 1
