yeah and last year they played the vikes to the end. they played great down the stretchbeat us twice and still finished 8-8. they are a talented but un smart team who will make games close by playing it close to the vest. I hope this was alex smiths coming out party. I hope they start chucking the ball all over thee field and forget about 21 because as soon as they do that they are doomed.

Cardsgrad, could you be any more of a darksider? Sure, they played a tough game against the world champs, but ultimately, they're still 0-2. Our team still has a lot of talent, and it's completely ridiculous to dismiss them just yet, especially considering we're still tied for the driver's seat in the division. We don't look good, but neither does anyone else.

I can see the standings now:

1) Cards 6-10 *
2) Niners 6-10
3) Hawks 6-10
4) Lambs 5-11

we win the tie breaker on conferance record

Now Goldson is better than Wilson? Wow. I think there's a picture of 82 in the dictionary under "reactionary".

SF lost close games last year, and they are still doing it. How quickly we forget.

DA gets ripped to shreds on here, but on the road, against a division opponent, he completed 5-6 passes on the Cards last drive and threw the game-winning TD.

I believe they have the better o-line, RB, QB, TE, d-line, linebackers and SS.
I can only hope that Whiz is as great of a leader as I thought he was, 'cuz it will take all of that leadership to somehow come out on top of the West this year...

You're preaching to the choir! However, go back and look at the number of threads that were started when the 9ers were universally selected as the NFC West champs... you and I are in the minority with regard to the "experts"...

And, that issue aside, I believe the 9ers are a better team right now, period. They have better, younger talent across the field.
I believe if not for Steve Breaston, we would be 0 & 2 with a loss at the hands of the Rams. Coupled with a total debacle on Sunday.

I agree wholeheartedly, especially about Breaston. Now way a DA lead team comes back from a 10pt deficit

If you play the if factor with that than you have to play the if factor with the 3 lost fumbles in Rams territory.

I think the 9ers and Seahawks will finish ahead of us if the defense on Sunday is an indicator of what's to come ahead. Seattle has a dominant run defense and Matt Hasselbeck will show up on certain days. The 49ers have their D and Frank Gore which will carry them to more wins than us.

until alex smith starts hittingopen receivers...I won't worry about them being a great team. I swear if davis isn't open he can't operate. they are adecent team that will still blow plenty of games.

Have you seen Anderson play? I would have more confidence in Smith than the #3 clown we have. Don't look at what Smith did did in his early years, look at how he has performed last year & 2 games this year. He has gotten better.

We got blown out by a good team and they got blown out by a crap team.
We won a trap first game, full of emotion for the home team,
They lost their first home where the emotion was stacked in their favor, the retirement of #80.
Not to mention that Sing came out and basically guaranteed that they would would shut down the Saints,
How did that work out?

Screw the Niners and screw any "respect" they gained from the media. Until they take the division crown from us, they're crap.

Yup, and was there anything worse than having to listed to two ex-niners in the postgame on ESPN?

The Cards let more studs walk in this past offseason than the 9ers have on their entire roster. Yes the Cards suck and a lot of that has to do with losing those good players. Just because the Cards suck that doesn't just automatically make the 9ers good and players that haven't accomplished jack all of a sudden a lineup of studs. Those guys just don't know how to win. To me they look like the same average to below average team they have been the last couple years.
