(Milwaukee, WI) -- China's Yi Jianlian has signed a multi-year deal with the Milwaukee Bucks. Bucks owner Herb Kohl traveled to China to conduct the negotiations, along with general manager Larry Harris and team vice president Ron Walter. Yi had balked at signing with the Bucks after being selected in the NBA draft. His representatives had requested a trade to a team in a bigger city with a large Asian population. After personally working out a deal with Yi in Hong Kong, Kohl said , "We all anticipate Yi's arrival and welcome him and his family to Milwaukee. We look forward to a successful relationship for many years to come."
