Living in NJ and being the greedy little bleep that I am, it hasn't been enough that I can listen to Cardinal announcers call each game on SIRIUS...or listen to Wolf, Calvisi and Urban's podcasts from the Cardinal official website or KTAR live feeds via the Internet.

I didn't like having to schlep my laptop upstairs from my office (aka "the tombs") to my family living room where I could settle down in my easy chair in front of the TV with "a cuppa" - with the sound from my laptop replacing audio from the TV.

Enter "The Livio."

It's this radio-looking thingy that you plug into your wall socket, hit the "power button" and listen to KTAR from AZ - just as though you were listening on your Philco in downtown Scottsdale.

No need to have your computer turned on. (Although there is about 5-minutes of one-time-only setup time to synch the Livio with your WiFi wireless router/modem).

I'm looking forward to listening to Wolf and Doug with my coffee and bagel each morning.

(Note - Don't ask me why but while KTAR is available on the Livio, KDUS and KGME are not. Nor are there any sports stations available from StL. But I did find Livio Internet feeds featuring Ukrainian folk music, classical music from Russia and 2 stations featuring bebop-only).

But my Preset Button #1 will always be set to KTAR. I can't wait to catch the pregame and postgame shows tomorrow.

Life is tres cool.

I am sure glad I live in AZ and don't have to go through what you do to get Cards news.
