I said when we drafted him that the naysayers would be proven wrong. Michael Floyd is a great player and a very nice young man. He is a player we can all be proud of.

Great catch. I wouldn't have picked him but he's had a very good 2nd year.

Floyd has really come on this season.

I believe the coaching staff has helped his confidence and he has blossomed.

Sorry, I still think he was the wrong draft choice. The Cardinals simply did not need another WR who can't get open but makes circus catches.

They did and still do need a pass rusher more. This is not to say Floyd isn't playing well but the Cards could go get a guy washing cars and make a good WR out of him. It's what they do.

I don't believe that this game should be your opening argument on why he is not a bust. #1catch.

I always thought he was a stud and wasn't angry with the draft pick per se but at the time we had more pressing needs than WR, however, this is where I erred.

I'm serving the crow, not eating it.

Called the pick during Week 17 of 2011. Wanted Floyd. Got Floyd. Super stoked for his rising potential.

How are David DeCastro and Melvin Ingram doing?

I think DeCastro has been ok (missed most of his rookie year injured) and Ingram was put in IR in this year's training camp.

I don't follow super closely, but I think that Whitney Mercilus (Houston) and Riley Reiff (Detroit) have both been pretty good, and were at least discussed during the draft process last year.

I agree with Duck, Floyd has had a good year however I still think it was a luxury pick that could have been better served with a different pick. He still needs to perform with more consistency over 16 games before I would be willing to say I was wrong on him. A good day Sunday will get him to a 1,000 yds. but as WRs go that is not that big a deal.

I don't post very often

I could have said it after last year but decided to let him prove it this year. He gets the only separation needed by going up and catching anything he gets his hands on. I would agree with many posters that we had other needs when we picked but Larry doesn't have many more high impact years and Michael is a good replacement down the road. We drafted for need when we took Levi Brown and passed on Adrian Peterson. How well did that work out? Sometimes you don't get what you need but what might be special.

Larry has not only lost a step, he's lost two! Floyd was a great pick at 13. Some people didn't like him because he played at Notre Dame. Never let your heart think for you. Loved the pick then & love it more now. Larry is slightly above average right now, thank God we picked this guy!

Don't know by Cordy Glenn is developing into a pretty good LT, and Donte Hightower isn't turning out too bad as well.

Just sayin'

Happy to have Floyd, very happy, but ......well it is what it is.

The only player taken after him but before our next pick that I think has done more is Russell Wilson but that would have been considered a colossal reach in the 1st round at the time.

Probably should have let the pot simmer a bit longer. It isn't that Floyd isn't talented, it is that he is very inconsistent and a bit of a head case. Not even a top 20 WR in the NFL.

I hope that's the last time we ever see Mendenhall run the ball for this team.

He's a mediocre at best back who doesn't protect the ball...with a dynamic playmaker behind him. Shouldn't waste one penny on him moving forward.
