Probably should have let the pot simmer a bit longer. It isn't that Floyd isn't talented, it is that he is very inconsistent and a bit of a head case. Not even a top 20 WR in the NFL.

Floyd reminds me of Todd Zeile who used to play for the baseball Cardinals. He'd hit 32 HRs per season with 27 of them when there was nothing on the line.

Floyd's catches all seem to come when its too late.

When are you going to get over this?

You're as bad as Bucky on Levi, but, to his credit, he was right.

You're not.

Made some big plays but I don't think he had a clean catch all day.
What's up? Gloves?

You are saying that Floyd has shown to be consistent and does not mentally lose it for stretches which causes him to have drops in bunches? If so, you aren't watching the games because that isn't true. Floyd has proven so far that he is a very talented wide receiver who is inconsistent and has stretches where he struggles to make routine plays. Fact. I don't know what you are saying I need to "get over".

20 wide receivers who are better than Floyd right now.

Antonio Brown
AJ Green
Josh Gordon
Andre Johnson
Reggie Wayne
Kendall Wright

Demaryious Thomas
Eric Decker
Wes Welker
Keenan Allen
Desean Jackson

Jeremy Maclin
Pierre Garcon
Victor Cruz
Hakeem Nicks
Jordy Nelson

Randall Cobb
Greg Jennings
Calvin Johnson
BRandon Marshall
Alshon Jeffrey

...that is 20 and there are still more...

Marcus Colston
Steve Smith
Vincent Jackson
Julio jones
Rodey White

Percy Harvin
Michael Crabtree
Larry Fitzgerald

28 no doubters better than Michael Floyd right now...

Gotta disagree with a number of those "no doubters".

Kendall Wright, Keenan Allen(about the same guy), Percy Harvin(injuries),
Greg Jennings, Hakeem Nicks, Jeremy Maclin, Steve Smith are all guys that arguments can be made that Floyd is on par or better than.

Going forward, I'd rather have Floyd than guys like Welker, White, Wayne, and Colston as well.

I can see an argument for Wright and Nicks, and I get preferring Floyd to Welker, Wayne, White and Colston. However, just because you would prefer Floyd due ot age, doesn't mean they aren't better right now.

My point has been that it is too early for people to start asking others to eat crow on Floyd. He is not there yet.

1,000 yards.

First it was Steve Breaston that was going to the HOF then it was Andre Roberts. Now its Floyd. The Cards could start Rugby Muffin at WR and he'd have a great year.

Floyd drops too many passes.

The Cards could start a 70 year old blind man at WR and he'd have a great year.

3 drops on the year for a 2.7% drop rate.

By comparision, Fitz has 2 drops and a 1.5% drop rate

Wow I had him for 2 yesterday so they're saying he dropped one other pass all year?

He makes big catches which you have to like, like the deep one yesterday, he's just inconsistent.

The best thing this year was we didn't spend the whole year watching Palmer have to move him because he lined up incorrectly. Considering all the talk about how complex the system Arians put in was, I was really considered that was going to happen all year again but Floyd picked it up.

We still need a vertical speed threat and apparently BA mentioned that too.

I can only assume this, but I think when a defender touches the ball, it is not counted as a drop, which happened on the tight throw to him yesterday. Not saying he could not have caught it, but I am sure that has to go into it. Unlike with Housler who only drops the ball becuase the ball made contact with him and knocked him down.

Floyd - 65 - 1041 - 16.0

Of the receivers with over a 1000 yds, only 4 had better per catch averages.

Yeah I would need to understand how they judge what a drop is to believe he only had 3 all year.

His drops are almost always trying to run before he catches it. Rob's are almost all not realizing the ball is there because he has poor awareness so he turns and the ball hits him as you said.

Can't tell if you are Duck reverse jinxing or not.

Floyd had like 25 straight catches that went for 1st downs. That's pretty clutch IMO.

I thought better choices were available. That said, he's exactly the type of receiver Palmer needs because he often throws into coverage.

Not to mention the catches he makes in traffic that many receivers can't get near. Not sure how anyone can bash his season. I was thrilled with it.

Also played hurt which shows he cares.
