What?
I could care less about the draft. I could give two cents about Stewert. I hate the bears no less than 31 other teams in the league. I just want a win. Period, no doubt about it, lts just win. I want win #4 now. I hoped for it earlier but this is our chance. The others slipped away but this one is ours. Eli can wait, As well as the rest of our draft pick favorites. And if we don't get the #1 pick who cares? I want a win this Sunday. Let the chips fall where they may. We will deal with it in April. I want to punk the bears hard. Lets go for that. The draft talk about how we need to lose just pisses me off to no end. F*ck that! Lets win this Sunday!

Cards- 27
cubs- 10

The draft BS needs to take a seat until January. This season isn't over with yet. That's what we need to concentrate on. Lets just win.

As much as I love to talk draft, you're right. It's too much of a crapshoot to think having a top 3 pick will guarantee you anything. We ought to know that more than any other team's fans. Win now, sort it out later.

I'm with you 100%.

I'm also 100% in favor of a coaching change. With the new coach I'll let him figure out who we keep and what we need.

But I'm also 100% in favor of making a statement with the hiring of the new HC. No more yes men.

This season is horrible even if we win out so I prefer to lose out and have the number one pick and start thinking about turning this sorry team around. So what if we win the last three what will that prove or do for us? Just drop us lower in the draft and we still have a sorry team and coaching staff. If we draft a franchise type QB or at least he is perceived a franchise type QB it might just help us get some of the FA's who turn us down to have a second thought.

Despite the legions that have seemingly annoited Eli as the next can't miss qb, I wonder if he truly will be the best choice with the number one pick in the draft, even for us.

Good point. There appear to be a few QB's coming out that have the "measurables". Of course, so did Ryan Leaf. I just hope they don't let the fear of a "Ryan Leaf debacle", keep them from looking hard at all the prospects.

I have watched Manning, and while he looks pretty good, he doesn't seem to have much of a "gun". Just an observation. I may not have seen games that he was able to "show" his arm. He may very well have a more that adequate arm. He seems to be an intellegent player. But, while a smart QB is important, if he can't make the deep throws (bombs or deep out patterns keeping D's honest), being able to do calculus (or read defenses) won't help him.

Let's face it, it is a crap shoot. Also, as others have pointed out, if the Cards don't bring in a quality coach, it won't matter which QB is getting beat up by opposing defenses.

I disagree. Why would any FA look at a 3-13 team and think that the number one draft choice is going to be a difference maker? Especially a rookie QB. If we were to draft Manning at #1 the general concensus would be we are at least 2 years away from being competitive. It just takes that long for a QB to find their stride. However winning out would prove that the rest of the team is OK and a couple FA's may put it over the top.
