Watched this last night...there were some funny parts that made me laugh, but around the middle or so I found myself just getting pissed (I hate complete lack of reality in some movies...the first thing just about ANY husband would do when he came home from the office would be to tell his wife that her dad asked him to get a vasectomy, name change, etc.). Then there was some more comedy & I let up. Overall it was okay, maybe 4/10.

Not true. Not everyone is as open and have the communication dialog that we have. :) I could easily see him not saying anything. You can say that he "tried" to talk to her about it, when he said "your father has it in for me" and instead of asking why, she thought he was overreacting. When he finally said something in the kitchen when they were arguing, she thought the same thing.

I know...it was just stupid. They seemed to have a great relationship prior, and then when the situation needed it, he clams up. I don't know...it just seemed dumb.

I hate when scripts are written without maintaining the character's personality consistently throughout. It's like they can make whoever say whatever just because they can, without regard to whether that character really would or not.
