 Even the Suns aren't THAT dumb!

Also, I bet Sarver wouldn't even blink if Amare said the same thing as JJ about matching a contract for Amare. Sarver says, "I understand how you feel Amare, but we ARE matching!" :D

No way the Suns let him have a sniff of the open market! ;)

Alright swami........(at least you are batting better than www.hoopsworld.com)........

...what does your crystal ball say about re-signing Amare?

Everything I've read about Amare leads me to believe that he's all about winning rings. The guy is serious and driven. If he doesn't believe the Suns are as serious as he is I think he'll bolt.

MAybe not this time around but don't be surprised if he signs a 3 year deal then splits if the Suns aren't contending.

It will be intresting to see what the Suns do if he does get an option on his 3rd year. Suns could have Marion's, Amare's and Nash's contracts all ending in the same offseason. I think Amare leaving is a real possiblity since the team we have now doesn't look good enough to win a championship and would be due for a major overhaul when Amare's 3 years extention is up.

This is all silliness. All the early out does is gives the player the option of getting a supermax contract in the Kobe/T-Mac class. No one is going to be able to steal Amare away any more than anyone has been able to steal T-Mac. The money is just too much larger with the former team.

Wasn't their starting PF out because of injury? I know Howard isn't great, but I'd put him ahead of Ryan Bowen. And Barkley managed that feat twice right?
