Last game of the year - and we don't know who our free safety is yet :)

If you listened to BA's presser - Bethel had his best game as a Cardinals in the nickel position last week. Boehm blocked well, screwed up when he was supposed to pick up blitzes (please take note people that wanted him starting as Center this year). Swearinger was great in the SS role minus one mistake on covering Graham. Humphries won't be playing this weekend. Jefferson and Boggs to IR. Cooper should be back at CB2.

So what is everyone looking forward to seeing? Myself...

I wanted to see B Williams at free safety, but it sounds like it is up between H Miller and Hartfield.

Curious to see Bethel at nickel once more and covering Tavon Austin.

Boehm will get a taste of Aaron Donald :)

Will Watford continue playing well at RT? He did great last week, 1000x better than he does at guard. Will Wetzel continue to improve? His footwork was much better lat week as well - you can tell he is working on it and he has a hell of a punch (so does Boehm, btw)

Scooby got 3 snaps last week on defense, want to see him get a few more this week to see what he has (probably a pipe dream).

B Golden has been getting better every year; he and Jaron Brown have been good developments over the past few years.

Nkemdiche got his snaps last in the game last week, when it was all quick passing - hope to see some more action this week hopefully.

And from the Seahawks game - Gunter looked like he is improving - not just the big plays, he shed blocks a few times - ended up with 2 tackles, 2 assts and a sack on 13 snaps. If he can continue to build on this against the Rams, then maybe he can bring it next year.

Sio Moore - 5 tackles, 9 assists versus Minter at 1/1. I love the guy, hope we re-sign him. I want him to get an interception this week.

I feel we will utterly destroy the Rams - their interim coach is as interesting as a cardboard box and they pretty much quit during the 4th quarter last week. We have some goals to achieve, beyond just winning (DJ's record, Fitz reception count, Jones hitting double digit sacks, possibly Campbell's last game as a Card, etc.)

Nice post Bartman.

This is probably not the right time and place on this board to declare this, but I see the boys losing this one.

I see a team with a new coach, desperate to court a good coach, and a BS league that is not afraid to facilitate a W in LA to seal facilitate a deal.

Just smells like a loss to me.

The Rams are bad but losing would improve our draft position.

Would like to see Marqui playing for our team instead of theirs.

Hey Nkemdiche, show me a little sumptin' sumptin'

This should be a good game to get a read on Nkemdiche. Most of his reps last week were during the quick pass game, so really he just had to hold a double team and turn runners to the LB, not give up a lane for Wilson to run.

This week, if he plays, he 'should' have the opportunity to penetrate.

Yeah right, still raw and you want him in the position which is traditionally the brains of the secondary lol

Right now, we aren't asking anyone playing free safety to do much more than play deep and make tackles. I want to see how he reacts with the play in front of him and what kind of angles he takes in the open field.

I agree. Rolle to played better at safety than he did CB maybe because he could see the ball leave the QB hands.
