another -- "lets play him at ILB", a position that puts a premium on instincts / quick diagnosisI give you Isaiah Simmons.
I think the lesson is: dont convert high draft picks to ILB

If Mike Green and Pearce end up being off the Cardinals board, that changes 16 a lot. I am not as high on Will Johnson as many, and don't think Monti has set up the roster in a way to be able to draft him at 16.Will Johnson….man I would have to think about this.
I think I would be okay with it if we nab Milton Williams & resign Browning. Would have to go DLine in the 2nd round as well.
Think Mike Green will be off our board due to his previous Sexual Assault allegations. James Pearce Jr seems to have attitude work ethic concerns. Love Nolen, but it seems like he has off the field concerns as well.
Will Johnson is a top 10 talent that reminds me of Pat Surtain II.
I’m not sold on Elijah Jones & wasn’t when we drafted him. SMB is bad & can be cut.
Definitely would have to think about this
This is why I like #16. If they are gone, that means that someone unexpectedly dropped. That could be a DT or OT or someone that a lot of teams would trade up forIf Mike Green and Pearce end up being off the Cardinals board, that changes 16 a lot. I actually do think this. I think the free agents we sign is a sign of what we think about the current roster. The picture will become clearer when we see what happens in free agency. Don’t think for one minute the free agents we sign isn’t a sign of what we think about the draft.
I give you Haason ReddickI give you Isaiah Simmons.
So long as we don't then trade backThis is why I like #16. If they are gone, that means that someone unexpectedly dropped. That could be a DT or OT or someone that a lot of teams would trade up for
Our team was sooo stupid with him.I give you Haason Reddick
Isaiah Simmons failed cause he was a linear athlete.
I expect/hope 4-5 solid above average players added. No big stars in FA available, so plug the holes with good starters and add potential high-end talent through the draft.I actually do think this. I think the free agents we sign is a sign of what we think about the current roster.
Monti isn't dumb enough to try and fill roster holes in the draft.
I don’t think we need a FA DT. Sherwood had 19 career starts?I expect/hope 4-5 solid above average players added. No big stars in FA available, so plug the holes with good starters and add potential high-end talent through the draft.
Something like...
ILB Sherwood as a clear upgrade over White
DT Milton Wiliams or Poona Ford
ED Hassan Reddick or Koonce
OL Sign Wills and play him at G or RT after he failed at LT.
WR - Sign a outside speed WR for the 3rd WR spot
That would leave Monti with all options with his two first picks. Edge, DT or OT without expecting a starter. Just high-end potential depth

We need to draft a stud idl penetrator to add to what we have.I don’t think we need a FA DT. Sherwood had 19 career starts?
This plan is pretty butt, IMO
Late bloomer. He was the Jets defensive MVP last season ahead of a lot of bigger namesI don’t think we need a FA DT. Sherwood had 19 career starts?

Well. What do you suggest?I don’t think we need a FA DT. Sherwood had 19 career starts?

Walter Nolen. He hat crap instincts and had to see the

I agree but Milton is not that.We need to draft a stud idl penetrator to add to what we have.
I'm not a professional GM; I think these exercises are pretty silly. I also don't think teams "covet" players; I think they rank who's available and manage to that. That being said, here are the places where I think we need the most help in filling roster holes, ranked highest to lowest priority, and how I'd rank the pending free agents:Well. What do you suggest?
I agree and you will certainly overpay but hopefully the Cards will make the right moves to make them a better team.People want to see roster churn because it makes headlines and the grass is always greener elsewhere, but I don't believe you can upgrade much in free agency.
