Membou and Campbell would be the players to watch IMO. The Raiders at 6 could be interested in moving down. Pats at 4. Jags at 5 don't seem to have a glaring hole. Same goes with the Jets. Carolina projects at either defense or WR.I've seen talk of Monti trading back, but he's in the best position he's ever been in to trade up too.
We already have a tonne of young players on the roster. There are not a whole bunch of obvious roster spaces available. Maybe they love Membou. Maybe they love Will Campbell (just because mocks have him falling doesn't mean that's real). Maybe they love T-Mac.
I think Monti would be fine coming out of the draft with 4 players he loves rather than a longer list of guys he likes.

I get it but there will be several teams wanting to move back and it requires a team to want to move up. What player do you think teams are going to want to grab at 16? I do agree that Monti would prefer to move back than have to move up, but I think his ultimate goal is to get a player he wants at the value he wants.I don't see Monti giving up a 2nd rounder + to move up when he already doesn't have a full set of draft picks.

I certainly wouldn’t rule this out. If you get a can get an impact player at an affordable price, going for it makes sense.I get it but there will be several teams wanting to move back and it requires a team to want to move up. If we move at all, it should be up. Absolutely no reason to trade back away from talent for more "belly of the team/depth" draft picks. We need instant starts. Trading back won't get you that. Trading up might.I think this is more likely the case. It seems like Monti's list for 16 is fairly small, and he will be looking to move. I do think a trade up could be an option which I think you have mentioned before.
This would be a truly stupid approach by Monti. A way to NOT get instant stars.I don't see the Cardinals moving up in the 1st round. They are much more likely moving back in the 1st and acquiring additional picks. Then I could see them moving up in the 2nd possibly if there is someone that they really like.
Im curious with the Raiders...Im sure Pete will want to rebuild the legion of boom, but they also do not really have any wide receivers...the defensive depth in this draft may well cause them to trade back unless say, Abdul Carter falls to them or something.Membou and Campbell would be the players to watch IMO. Not necessarily. This draft does not seem to have enough blue chip players to reach 16...but it also seems to have enough red chip players to reach about 45...with varying boards its possible whoever we were to pick at 16 may have actually lasted until 45 had we not picked them...This would be a truly stupid approach by Monti. A way to NOT get instant stars.
....and we appear to have a hole...I know we have been burned by the Keim ILB picks, but Jihad Campbell is a beast. He was originally brought to Alabama as an edge player, but due to a need and a plethora of edge players on the team (Will Anderson, etc..), they moved him inside.
Sorry man. Just think about baseball.i was rubbing one out till you started dropping the ohio players - totally didn't get to finish
Potential stars, of course. Speaking for myself, I just don't know who they are. Maybe Carter and Hunter, and maybe not. Read a lot about a number of other players, and hope that there are some stars, just don't know who they are. Only thing I'm sure about is that a year from now, I'll read, "Now, that is the guy we should have drafted".Personally, I'd prefer a move up if someone drops. We have plenty of underbelly - we need potential stars.

Just a suggestion. Someone should start a thread prior to the Draft asking, "Who will be a star". Reply with a name only, not why you think he'll be a star. And, in a year or two we can look back.
You spelled "Mike Green" incorrectly.James Pearce Jr

Mike Renner of CBS Sports had an interesting take on the DTs. He said Harmon fits in any scheme and is surprised that a lot of mocks have him falling into the 20s. He said Nolen and Graham are more scheme specific and won't be on every team's board..
Jalon Walker #5. Two TE’s in the top-7. Harmon over Grant/Nolen.

Harmon is likely a second rounder. thats where he was in most of the mocks before the combine.Mike Renner of CBS Sports had an interesting take on the DTs.
