I know we have been burned by the Keim ILB picks, but Jihad Campbell is a beast. He was originally brought to Alabama as an edge player, but due to a need and a plethora of edge players on the team (Will Anderson, etc..), they moved him inside.
I could see the other Alabama player being the pick in a trade down… we need a mauler for our run game and booker fits the bill… plus his motor and leadership qualities are what they look for… I would rather go d line but if they go offense I hope it’s not golden…. Give me booker a safe pick

If we move at all, it should be up. Absolutely no reason to trade back away from talent for more "belly of the team/depth" draft picks. We need instant starts. Trading back won't get you that. Trading up might.
What would you target then?

The consensus draft board is shifting and while we can only use that as a guideline and we have no idea how the draft will unfold, it certainly seems that most of the obvious choices at #16 are dropping down the board.

Harmon is likely a second rounder. thats where he was in most of the mocks before the combine.
The combine gets people excited but by draft day most guys go wherever there tape had them ranked in January

Mocks are not real though. They are roughly real inside the top 10, in that the very best players in the draft are readily apparent, but after that, not so much.

Mocks are like rating books from cliffnotes. Some guy watched 30 minutes of Hudl, read some other guys opinions and formed his own based on very little.

Teams have watched these guys for years, live and on film, for hours and hours. Met them in person, likely several times. Interviewed many. The quality of data that teams are using and what "draft analysts" are using are not comparable.

I think this draft more than most is going to have a whole bunch of guys not going where predicted, in both directions.

The weakest room on this roster at the moment, IMO, are,

iOL - Outside Fro, and not knowing how Adams will develop, it's a room of guys.
WR - I expect big things from Marv, and I like Mike (I'd prefer him in the slot). After that you could bin everyone.
T - depending on the status of Jonah's injury, and there's nothing there after this year.
CB - We have some good young players, but no one that stands out as a CB1 (yet).
TE - People say this is a good room, I don't see it. If Trey got hurt we'd be screwed. Tipp is mainly a blocker (although I think he has receiving upside). Higgins is a nice story but not top level, and that's it. Vokolek is probably the weakest player on the roster and an easy upgrade.
S - It's fine for now. I want DTD to start over JT. There are some safeties I like in this draft who I'd be tempted to draft and cut trade Jalen who is gone next year.

All other rooms are now set IMO.

And TBH I'm looking at this from the viewpoint of this being the best roster we've had at this point in some time, and being picky about where we can get even better.

I think this is a solid assessment. I’d quibble about Wilson, but that’s a small point. I think Melton will develop at CB1, but that’s speculation. Again I like Higgins slightly more than you do, but I wouldn’t rush to grab a TE. Thanks fir the effort.

What rooms are you thinking, OL and RB?

QB, DL, EDGE, RB. Although I think there is the option to upgrade at KR. We can save cap by moving on from Dallas and with the kickoff rule changes there are going to be less touchbacks on kick offs and more chances to return. We need to add pace there, whether it be at RB or WR for KR's.

I like Higgins, but he's a tight end #3 on most teams. Or at least was last year, I admit he has developed well and still has plenty of room to grow. Definitely want to keep him around but if I was GM I'd be looking to add a developmental TE that can both block and catch. Someone like Mitchell Evans in the 4th or 5th. Vokolek is a wasted roster spot.

I've always been a Mike Wilson believer. I think he's got solid WR2 potential but I like him more in the slot. He's a good route runner and has good feet, which would be better used inside. The team is missing a field stretcher and I'd like to add that in the draft.

I am warming up to Derrick Harmon as a good scheme fit. I have seem some mock drafts, by professional analysts, suggest that pick in the first round. Would be interesting.
No question about his athleticism and ability to penetrate. Anchoring is where the uncertainty lurks. It’s the kind of thing that separates the scouts. He’s a talent. The question is, is he a 2 function guy. I think he’s likely to be, but he’s not as certain as Nolen or Grant. Graham is in a higher universe.

The Athletic had the Cards taking Harmon. There were definitely some eye opening quotes about him:

16. Arizona Cardinals: Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon

Arizona figures to go in the trenches here with some good options on either side of the ball. The Cardinals added edge Josh Sweat in free agency, so I don’t believe they will take Mike Green here, and Harmon is too talented to let go by. The Ducks stepped up big on the name, image and likeness front to land the Michigan State transfer, and he made a big impact, notching 45 tackles, 10.5 TFLs, five sacks and two forced fumbles. He more than looked the part at the combine, measuring 6-4 1/2, 313 pounds and clocking a 4.95 40 with a 1.74 10-yard split.

“He was the best interior pass rusher we faced this year,” a Big Ten O-line coach said. “He has great length and athleticism. We schemed a lot of things to make sure he didn’t get one-on-ones against us. He wasn’t as stout in the run game as (Mason) Graham.”

“I thought he was unbelievable,” a Big Ten running backs coach said. “He’s just as disruptive as Mason Graham when we played them, and he’s even bigger. Very impressed by him.”

“Liked him a lot,” a Big Ten O-line coach said, “but I do think he picks and chooses when he wants to play hard or not. He is really good, though. He’s very explosive and quick and plays with power and strength and can shed and get skinny.”

I saw the same as you, but after I found out that some analyst projected him to the Cards, I went back and look some more. I think his anchoring is fine, and I think he is fine against double teams. In Cardinals' d-line scheme, penetrating the offensive line is not the primary objective (the main reason why the talk about Nolen is funny to me), so it is not until recently that I started considering Harmon a true option.

Agree on Graham. I said in January that he is the only guy I would consider trading up for, and I still think that. He is a monster.

Our EDGE room is

Josh Sweat
Zaven Collins
Baron Browning
BJ Ojulari
Xavier Thomas

I don't see that as set in any way , shape or form. A lot of hopium in that room.

I like to read the quotes from Feldman's mock drafts because he is so connected to the college game.
