time will tell, a little silly to give a grade, who knows in 3 years Al Davis may look like a genius for picking a safety he could have had in the 4th round.

I'm happy with what we did though. Neither pick was considered a "reach" and both picks fill needs.

C: I have Zero confidence in Wells ability to stay healthy and give consistent effort. I think Brown is a little overrated.

A. I am happy with both players and am confident they will pay immediate dividends to this franchise.

The best part is that both players aren't going to be thrown into the fire, but rather gradually immersed into playing time. Wells will split time with Hightower and Brown will be apart of the OLB rotation.

In previous years, we would have given guys like this the baton and said "run," but now we can develop them properly, like successful teams have done in the past.

B+: Beanie could be the best player to come out of this draft. I am up in the air with the Brown pick, but is solid value and a position of need.

They know what they're doing. He's a lot stronger than Johnson at the point of attack. A solid pickup there.

We filled our needs while taking the best players available - a solid "A" for me!

A

There was no defensive player available that you can legitimately argue was a better talent/value than Beanie Wells. As much as the athleticism of Johnson and Sidbury intrigued me, the Cards went with the player more likely to succeed in Cody Brown.

Yep. I had him down as one of the ten picks heading into our 2nd, but thought that Johnson would be the pick. I'm happier with Brown now. Will be solid all around.

I am on the solid "A" train as well. Love having a big back with some speed. Now if he can be taught to catch like JJ and turn and run 25 yards we have actually improved our backfield....alas I feel it is not so. This team will miss that 3rd down dumpoff threat JJ provided. But there are so many weapons they will overcome it and if CB can ease into the lineup we will have great depth at DE or OLB. Like it alot.

Are you kidding ??? We got the top rated RB in the draft, and a decent edge-rusher with our first two picks. With Lott handling strength and conditioning, the competition will be really good for each of them, and neither are needed to step in and start day one. Beanie should benefit from Lott's training, our playing field, our warm weather, and the fact that he will be sharing the load with Timmy. We have 4 edge rushers ahead of Brown right now, so he will have a chance to learn as well as increase his physicality. This looks made to order IMO.

A+ so far for filling our needs with players who have a good chance of fulfilling our needs and had to put the + for getting Wells at 31

Both players have high ceilings and fill in the two biggest needs. I'll take the middle road and say B+, but it wouldn't surprise me if these two become playmakers by the end of the season.

I'm kind of in your camp Skkorpion. Don't know enough about Brown to make a good judgement at this point and I believe Wells is a boom or bust type player.

He either is the biggest steal of the draft or we rue the day we picked him.
