Your ideal scenario for this Sunday

Well like someone else said I am emotionally drained. I defy anyone to find me a sports franchise that is as much of a burden to cheer for as this team. Saying all that I will be watching this sunday. It's just impossible to give up on the season this early.....even if the kool-aid engine inside my head is running on fumes at this point

So heres what ideally happens this Sunday for me. KW comes out and keeps it close. He gets injured before the half (nothing too serious) but enough that the golden boy gets his opportunity. Leinart playing a team that didnt game plan for him comes out in the second half lighting it up and leading us to the win. Edge gets 100, The defense holds the rushing attack at bay and we use this momentum to come home and kick KC's A$$ next week....

In the immortal words of Jerry Maguire "Who's Coming With Me??????";)

That's pretty lame. Why would any fan want Warner to fail? What's wrong with Warner getting it together?

Ideal scenario = a win. I personally could care less how we get it, I don't care if the Falcons team has a bout of the flu and can't field a full team and forfeits. I want a W.

because then warner would start against kc. this way leinart starts but we don't have to lose to get him.

I understand that, but wouldn't it be better for the team and us fans to have a starter that is doing well and a backup phenom waiting in the wings? If Warner indeed falls off the map, who do we turn to if Matt get hurt?

because i'd rather have matt learn this year and have really high hopes for next year. if warner does decent this year, matt starts next year and this year is wasted.

just my way of looking at things. i dove into the koolaid this year and i see now its just not gonna work out. warner is still the turnover machine. you cant win football games with turnovers. simple as that.

Matt is NOT ready to "learn" while getting his brains beat in this year - period. In fact, starting Lienart now, only 3 games into the season with all of the pressure to produce that comes with expectations of winning 8-9 games and making a post season run, could totally backfire...
If this was the 13th or 14th game of the season, and we were out of the playoff hunt, sure... But until then, Matt belongs right where he is - on the sidelines, clipboard firmly in hand...

My ideal scenario...Kurt comes in, shakes off the rust and cobwebs and leads the team to a convincing win over a tired Atlanta team...the Defense shuts down the run and we go to 2-2. We then ride that momentum to a win at home vs. KC and Warner takes command of the starting job, allowing Matt to sit and learn.

Kurt never has 4 turnovers in a game again all year, and finds the TE and RB instead of forcing it into coverage...and he also learns to throw the ball away.

Anybody else good with that?

I'm good with that, just don't ask me to wager any money on this actually happening.

Ideal, Kurt plays a great game, Edge has big runs, we shut down their run game, expose Vick's inaccurate arm and win big.

My nightmare scenario, their pass rush scares Warner into multiple mistakes again. Clancy's groin injury either keeps him out or renders him ineffective and they work us on the ground all game while Langston Moore is signed somewhere else.

I'm hoping for scenario number 1.

Kurt shuts the critics up and comes back strong and puts to rest this Leinart starting crap for another 6 weeks!

is it just me, or did it strike anyone else as odd that there was no mention of a WIN in this post.

Exactly.

A Leinart start would be exciting. But, now that Kurt has the call, I hope he lights it up.
