I was a little optimistic until I heard Manning will decision in a week.

Graves can't decide soup or salad in a week's time.

He couldn't sign Calais Campbell after a 1 1/2, and couldn't sign Boldin in 2 1/2 years.

Not a lot of confidence he can get this done. The Cardinals front office just cannot compete with a majority of NFL front offices.
But a signing of this magnitude will be handled by Michael Bidwill, not snail-pace Graves... just like Larry's signing.

Matt Flynn = Kevin Kolb. Flynn, if anything, is likely to sign a smaller contract than what Kolb was about to get out of us. Different package, same magic beans.

If we cut Kolb and miss out on Manning, I'd rather us sign Matt Schaub, Alex Smith, Jason Campbell, David Garrard, Chad Henne, or Charlie Whitehurst (in that order, probably) to come in and compete with Double Deuce. Either way, we're investing a 1st round pick in a quarterback in the 2013 draft.

I'm not locked into Flynn other than I do not have confidence in Kolb because of his injury problems, especially concussions. As I have expressed many times, I like Skelton's future but I would like to get another QB in here to compete with him or allow him more time to develop and be a backup while he continues to learn.

If Manning doesn't happen for Cards, we are going in with Kolb and Skelton so not sure why other QB's are being discussed who are at best same type or worst than Kolb/Skelton.

Supposedly he is playing golf with Dan Marino right now..... not looking good. Hope Kolb is getting his mind right.

I'm praying for a monsoon to hit that golf course to put a 'damper' on things. :D

I think it is 49% AZ, 51% MIA. Honestly, I don't think anyone else that actually wants him has a shot.

Washington looks like it has been eliminated, so clearly money isn't the deciding factor. I can't see him signing with Seattle. Jets don't seem likely.

I think this is a 2-team dance, everyone else is just wasting their time.

If Michael is really smart, Graves will not be allowed anywhere near this signing. He has enough on his plate left over from the past two years to clean up already.

I'm not convinced that Kolb will ever take another snap (for anyone). If his head isn't too rattled, he'll hopefully have the good sense to call it quits. He has to now be considered concussion prone and it took way too long for him to get right following the last one. IMO, he's already out of the discussion as far at the Cards are concerned and if he's not, he sure should be.

This is my gut feeling as well. I hope Kolb does not risk another concussion. Hopefully the Cardinals see it the same way.

For what it's worth - at this point in time, 73 people have voted in this poll.

Also - The amount of time RG takes notwithstanding, the way it's historically worked for the Cardinals is that, if a deal doesn't get done quickly...it doesn't get done.

We can speculate all we want but neither Kolb has indicated he is considering calling quits not Cardinals have eluded they are going in another direction. If not for Manning being available, there wouldn't be any QB discussion. Period.

That's true, and what little company line we've been fed indicates it's business as usual as regards Kolb but I just don't buy it. I guess we'll see in a couple of weeks when Kevin's bonus comes due.

I think there it is more like 70% right now, and other than his ties to South Florida...the football logic says the Cardinals. Peyton is about wanting to win and no matter how bad we had looked during the early part of last season, I still think the Cardinals provide a hell of a lot better chance for success with Manning than the Dolphins in their current situation. If we are going to speculate, and that is all we can do...then I'm going with logic and for once the Cardinals actually are a logical pick

I did not like Kolb signing then and still don't believe he is the answer but we have too much invested in him to go in another direction unless, of course, it is for someone like Manning.

I was never sold on Kolb nor am I now convinced he doesn't have the skills to start in this league. I'm writing him off solely because he is concussion-prone and based on his recovery this last time, I think he's an especially high risk. I'm not a doctor but I do know that not all concussions are created the same and Kolb's seem particularly worrisome to this layman.

Yes there would. We'd be debating Kolb v Skelator and if we could trade Kolb to Cleveland for draft picks and how many draft picks we'd have to give up to move up to get Robert Griffin III and.......

Kolb vs. Skelton is a valid argument... my vote, of course, goes to Skelton :). I meant any additional FA QB considerations.

I don't believe we will move up and lose more draft picks when we already don't have a 2nd rounder, thanks to awful deal Graves made for Kolb. We have quite a few holes to fill.

20%... it won't be for lack of money if he doesn't sign here, unless Miami throws Ft Knox at him..imo.

Whiz: Surely Rod has a firm grip of the available finances...

RG: Don't call me Shirley.

Less than zero %, no way Peyton puts his neck behind this line (homie is smart and we gave up the most sacks in the league last 2 years) and Whiz and co have stated numerous times (and in numerous ways) that it's Kolbs job, and that they are comfortable with Skleton to come in when Kolb bumps his head. With the defense improving it would be nice, but we stayed with Grimm, outlook is ...Grimm

Personally I think we should be the odds on favorite. For a lot of reasons.

Also I think the FO wants this. I think Peyton would really like this.'

Then he wouldn't have to worry about beating little bro in a SB. He can just take care of that before hand. :D
