Not really high on Ford, I don't think James fits our system, and not really a fan of the rest of the draft.

I like that you picked two o-linemen,...especially a center...for OT I am really locked on to Hurst in the third...IMO he will be special and is perfect for our system and division....there are a couple burner WR's who can be had late...I am surprised this mock is so defense heavy

I love the idea of drafting Dee Ford and believe he will have a Von Miller type impact as a pass rusher his rookie season.

I don't believe we will draft multiple offensive linemen in this draft but that will be clarified through free agency. Right now we have Sowell, Potter, Massie, Cooper, Sendlein, Colledge, Fanaika, Watford and Phillip Blake. That is 9 with the high possiblilty of Colledge getting cut and Blake being expendable. I believe we will probably carry 8 or 9, which means we will only have room to add 1 or 2 via free agency and the draft combined.

Along the lines of my thinking in regards to drafting another OT. If it isn't a 1st round player we are sure would be better than anyone we have to start at LT, then it will be a wasted pick. We have enough developmental 2nd string OTs on our bench. We don't need another mediocre OT to ride the bench. Either draft a stud in the 1st round if one falls to us, or don't bother drafting an OT at all. A starting OG or C who would immediately start and improve us is okay by me in any of the rounds except the 1st. This C from USC is supposed to be a real beast like tough guy.

I like the Dee Ford pick, he has really shot up draft charts recently. I am not familiar with most of the others. I would be shocked if a speed receiver isn't one of the six draft picks.

Dontari Poe was a stud for the Chiefs this year and made a huge impact on their defense. Not sure what football you are watching.

As far as Dee Ford being a "late riser", Ford was considered a top 100 player heading into this college year, a 2nd round prospect after the regular season and has risen to a late 1st rounder after great showings in his bowl game and at the senior bowl. Moving 1 round is pretty common for prospects so I am not sure why this would be a red flag.

When it comes to spending a first round pick on an edge rusher for a 3-4 defense, I want the better pass rusher and that is Dee Ford.

Me thinks that Jarvis Jones' problems had more to do with his 4.8ish speed than his size. Not big and slow is a problem for a OLB pass rusher. Jones gets by on motor alone, and hasn't proven so far that his motor and instincts will suffice.

Honestly, this makes me question whether you watched Dee Ford or Auburn football at all. Dee Ford was a force as a pass rusher all year, and very much was in the picture in the 1st/2nd round area. His Senior Bowl performance further proved he belonged.

As Redrage stated, Quarles is a nice pick in the third round and would be a good candidate as a 9-0 replacement moving forward.

To be fair, Fanaika, Potter, and Sowell are all extremely expendable my NFL standards, as are 4-7th round picks. We're going to have to carry 10+ linemen into training camp, so I don't think there's a numbers proposition if there's someone better on the board.

Yeah some thought Poe went to high but I always love the stud nose

tackle prospects. I love Louis Nix this year. We dont need him but I told my

Steeler friend earlier today that " Irish Chocolate" ( his nickname) would be perfect

for the Steelers at 15.
