Maybe Hightower if Whisenhunt lets him. Otherwise, nobody.

i'm praying this is the game where soft soft makes me eat my words over the past two years. i'm not predicting it (otherwise why would all those words have been spawned by my keyboard over the past two years), but would love to see it.

btw, i read that they'll move peppers all over the field, mostly with the intent of having him blow by levi. great.

Peppers is the guy I most fear on the Panthers, more so than Steve Smith. Peppers lined up on Levi is a disaster waiting to happen. Matter of fact, it did happen last season at U of P.

Excuse my ignorance, I really don't know much about Peppers.

My question, is Peppers really considered a speed type rusher? I thought Peppers is more of an overall strength type player; stout against the run and good vs. the pass also.

Speed guys give L. Brown problems, not so much of an issue against the bull rush type which use their strength to get by, over, or through a pass blocker.

It HAS to be Levi Brown... I do believe the Panthers will ensure Peppers is matched up on Brown as much as possible... So, I guess the more appropriate questions are:

1.) How many minutes will Warner play before Peppers takes him out of the game?

2.) Over/Under on Levi's False Starts?

Answers:

1.) Warner will play the entire game, though he will be a mangled mess by the end of the game...

2.) 3... I'm taking the over btw...

:bang:

I AGREE about Neil Rackers...

Their kicker-Kasay is deadly from 50-in. We cannot miss any scoring opportunities as (3) points could very well decide this one. GO CARDS!! Note: Neil, very quietly, is having a VERY GOOD year. We need him to keep coming thru. Have you noticed ALOT of his kicks are going down the middle now instead of fading to the left. I think he's got his mechanics/approach straightened out. We know he has the leg. GO CARDS!

It would really be terrific to see 21 have a total big game. Make the right cuts, good angles a couple of INTs. Yup, I can go with that one also.

Hart, Dierdorff & Metcalf. We may give up 30 pts., but there's no way we don't score 40. With a week off, Coryell will come up with an offensive gameplan that will be unstoppable. Jackie Smith will be running free in their secondary all day!!!!! Go Cardinals!!!!

no, peppers is considered "special" b/c he's a speed/strength guy. not necessarily a speed "freak" like kearse was, but still special in the speed category. he'll destroy levi.

Questioning the East Coast theory.

So you are at work and your boss comes up and tells you." Next Monday we are starting 2 hours early." Which means instead of starting at 5:00 am you will be starting at 3:00 am.

With a week to prepare do you think your performance would be that affected?

I think we got to stop using it this as a crutch. I'm not going to take the time to look it up, but let's think about this. MOST teams are better at home so there is 1 factor to take into account.
How many of those teams had to travel to play the Patriots, Giants, Eagles, Bucs, and Jaguars? Notice anything about those teams mentioned? Well, the are all very good teams. These teams have won most of the time no matter where they played. Thats another factor to take into account.

Now take a look at teams that are traveling to the east coast in recent years. Cards, 49er's, Rams, Chiefs, Texans. These teams have been pretty bad over the same period of time and have lost most of there games np matter where they played. That's another factor.

And then there are good teams that go east that are good teams like the Cowboys, Chargers, and Seahawks. Teams that have most of their games. Here are that may lose to a team like the Giants or Patriots , but more than likely would beat teams like the Dolphins or other teams on off years like the Skins or Panthers. Yet another factor.

How about weather. How many west coast teams go into Buffalo in December and have any success?

Teams on the east coast have been pretty good teams over the last 5 years. I believe THAT is the main factor of why teams have not won when going there. A good team will beat a bad team most of the time whether they are playing at 1:00 pm , 3:00 pm, or 4:00 in the morning.

Now let's go kick the Panthers ass!
