Let this sink in. We couldn't beat a team tanking the season. Funny thing is, I'm not even mad.

I knew we were bad but I guess I underestimated how bad this football team is , looking like a 2 win season .

We'll win one more game. A game we have no business winning. Sort of like in 2003 when we won the last game of the season knocking the Vikings out of the playoffs.

I agree. It's the Cardinal way. No team is better at winning a meaningless game than we are. This is a team that has figured out how to NOT end up with Namath & both Manning brothers. We also have a very proud guy in Fitz who will somehow, someway rally this team to 1 more W. I'm sure of it.

The real question right now is where is this team mentally? They just lost to a team that had clearly distinguished themselves as the worse team in the NFL and you lost to them at home. Is this the game where the coaching staff has officially lost the team? Has this game broken them mentally and now we will see mail-in performances from some of the players? Will some be counting the days to Dec. 30th? Will some come up with nagging mysterious injuries? It will be very interesting to see how this all evolves in the next few weeks.
From a GM perspective I would want to see more of the rookies get significant playing time to see what we have from a 2019 roster standpoint. I would want to see the lower part of the roster play more. As a GM I would be looking at plucking some potential Oline from other teams practice squad. There may be one or two that got by waivers and are squirreled away on a PS somewhere. Never hurts to take a look.
This season is lost. If Bidwill does the right thing then we will have a new GM and HC after the season. As a matter of fact I would be looking for my new GM now. The one last winnable game has passed us by.
Right now SF has the first pick in the draft and the Cards are sitting at #2.

IMO Jim Hart and Charlie Johnson were better QB's than Namath. Namath is probably the most overrated QB in history. Take that SB win away from him and the only way he sniffs the HOF is if he buys a ticket.

Jim Hart was my favorite Cardinal as a kid & Charlie Johnson was very good too. Statistically, their numbers are similar & Namath did make his hay by winning a SB. Namath had arthritic knees before he was 23 years of age. He took injections in both knees while at Alabama. In today's NFL, he couldn't pass a physical in order to even play. But, could you imagine how much better looking our cheerleaders in St. Louis would have looked if Broadway Joe had signed with the Cardinals instead of the Jets!! LOL

Statistically Hart was far better. Hart's issue is that the Cards always had a mediocre defense. Namath also got lucky. The Colts took that game for granted and personally I'm in the camp that thought the game was fixed. Baltimore should have throttled the Jets that day. After that he never won another playoff game and only had 1 other winning season. Bit of trivia though. Namath ended up being coached by the same guy who would have been his Cardinals coach. Oh, and all the Cards had to do was ask him to sign after the Orange Bowl and he would have been a Cardinal.

Charley Winner
One of the few HC's in Cardinal history that lasted 5 years under Bill Bidwill. He actually had a winning record as a Cardinal HC. His 1970 team beat the Cowboys in Dallas 38-0, which is still my favorite win. The Cardinals lost their last 3 games of the year to finish at 8-5-1 & miss the playoffs. Winner was subsequently fired & Cowboys ended up going to the SB, only to be beaten on a last second FG by the Baltimore Colts.
Man I have been a Cardinals fan way too long.
Oh, that brings back memories, Monday Night Football too in front of a national audience.
