They had an offside late, and if we're complaining about missed calls, whoever plays RT for the Cards was pretty much tackling Dumervil on every pass play and got called for it once.

Twice actually but that has more with the league making it abudantly clear that they're going to let ALOT of offensive holding go. They have all season

They've also made it clear that it's not offsides if it's a Chargers OLB in the neutral zone.

A non-called hold against KC practically lost us that game.

Yep helmet to helmet on Mat L doesn't count

That one had me wondering. Right in front of the ref, helmet to helmet while he was sliding.

Not to say the refs cost us the game because they didn't, but that no call (would have offset with the holding on the play, right?) had me thinking.

Not that it really mattered, but watch the last pick by Bailey where he is covering Fitz. Fitz runs an out and up and runs right into Bailey when he turns upfield. Where is the call for illeagal contact? Bailey bit on the fake, bumped Fitz off his route and then runs down the pick. Textbook example of illeagal contact that was just ignored.

Bally’s Sports needs to go away
no penalties

Broncos fans behind us all game... guy sitting next to me, after the Smith unsportsman like conduct said "We're getting unsportsmanlike conduct penalties... the Broncos are the dirtiest team in the league.. to which the fans behind us said "It got us a superbowl!"

The one that hurt the most (momentum changing) was the phantom holding call on Wakefield on the FG try. I only got to see the replay once, but it looked like a horrid call.

I realize the refs didn't cost us the game and that losng teams get screwed.

It just pisses me off. I had to leave with 3 mins to go. I was so angry over the whole debarcle [including the biased officating] I was afraid I would say something to a Broncos fan and start something.

The guy behind me suggested they had no penalities because they were a clean team. When I caught melf from turning around to tell him what I thought of the dirtiest team in the league, I knew it was time to leave.

There were at least 2 face masks (granted, of the 5-yard variety), that went uncalled.

You have no idea of our pain.

Well maybe you do but you don't get shafted as often and consistently as we do these days.

it's actually pretty close - remember the seahawks are the team of the testeverde helmet TD, the ravens getting an extra down, a ref knocking over the receiver on a deep route, SB XL, etc - we are well aware of the do nothing "my bad" letters from the league

i think this is one area where the fan bases can definitely sympathize, although everyone thinks they get it the worse

I understand you had one bad play.

Since the Seahawks got better in the last couple of years you havn't had the systematic biased officiating we still get. I suspect prior to that when the Seahawks sucked worse than we do you saw the same bias.

it's actually still pretty bad - i had a buddy in from DC last year and he was shocked by it - his quote was something like "it seems like the announcers are pulling against seattle and the refs are making things as difficult as possible" - i just noted it as the usual

the conspiracy theorists out there think it has to deal with MH being on the competition committee for so long

i think that is why XL got to so many fans so badly - it was the buildup of years of this stuff

i've just come to accept that the refs suck in this league and as long as I never have to see Phil Luckett again i'll just deal with it - play on

When I sat in the southendzone of SDS for the first 8 years, there was a guy who would yell "Striped :rhymes with maggot starts with f:" when the refs made a bad call. After a while, he would just start yelling it all the time.

I was there for the first 8 years.

I would yell at the refs, "Get a real job would ya?"

I would yell at Coach Mac, "Turn to page two on the playbook, would ya?"
