The Ram's rookie kicker has an amazing foot and I wouldn't be surprised to see him break the distance record one day. The Rams are pretty much in range once they come out of the locker room, and in a way, that is bad news for the Cards.

Why?

Over the last 16 games, the Cardinals have given up more field goals than any other NFCW team. Usually, that is a strength of this team. They bend, but they don't break. However with this kid, they have to be a bit more rigid and keep the Rams on their side of the 50.

We can't afford to swap field goals with the Rams tonight. We won't win that kind of game. We need to get in the endzone and force the Rams to play from behind. We need to make their newest weapon inconsequential. They need to go for the tough points, rather than settle for 3.

If it comes down to the last possession, the Rams will be working with a lot shorter field than the Cards.

With Dockett back our special teams will be back in form.

To kick those long kicks, a kicker has to drive the ball, and that usually means kicking at a lower angle.

Can the kicker clear Calais Campbell from 50+ we will see.

Regarding Zuerlein ? The guy is a freak!

Let them show off his leg...

1) Cards player will have fewer yards to reach the end zone when he pickups the blocked kick...

or

2) PP21 could be setup in the end zone for a return if the kick is short.

In a van...down by the river.
Just wanted to add that GZ kicked a 56 yarder at Soldier Field in week 3. The longest FG ever made there. Many(including Rams fans) questioned his ability to kick outside the dome and he squashed that theory early on.

Peter King said that right now Zuerlein would get his Rookie of the Year vote. He said that it's exceedingly rare for a rookie to come in and immediately become the best player at his position in the NFL.

Whatevs, Peter King. If you're holding the opposition to field goals instead of touchdowns, especially at home, and you don't have Micro Tavaris Jackson as your quarterback, you count that as a win.
