I didn't think I would ever bring myself to watch it again but tonight I finally did. I am shocked about my feelings after watching the game.

I am so damn proud of this team. We had taken everything the Steelers could throw at us and we continued to fight like dogs.

We held them out of the end zone when they were inside the 10 yard line not once, not twice but three times. We were down by 13 pts. in the 4th quarter and while everybody was busy engraving the Lombardi Trophy for The Steelers we shocked the football world by coming back and taking the lead.

The play that will forever stand out in my mind will be the Harrison int. Hightower is so blatantly blocked from the back on that play that it's sickening.

Anyway, I didn't start this post to rant and rave about what coulda, shoulda and the might have beens. I just wanted to really point out the fact that this team is loaded with heart. There is no quit in this team and we have a tremendously diversified offense that is going to wreak havoc this year.

I urge you to watch the game. I really think you will come away with an increased feeling of confidence.

agree with everything you said, now if the team doesn't get the big head...And I don't think they will. I think they proved to themselves that could beat anyone and that confidence goes a long way towards winning. Talent, coaching, injuries and a little luck sets you up to be successful in the NFL.

I still have it on the DVR unwatched. I can watch the highlights but always turn it off after Fitz's TD.

I can still remember the feeling sitting in my seat in Tampa for about 15 minutes and not having anything to say as Steeler fans said be proud your team they played a hell of a game. I was crushed and sure they would have been also if they lost like we did. It felt as if a family member had died...and time heals all pain. Not 100% over it yet.

I have watched it many times. After 40 years of praying that I just wanted to see my Cardinals make it to the Super Bowl in my life time, and having that prayer answered, I guess I am not quite as devastated as some. Oh it hurts, that if we just could have had one more defensive stand, we would have been world champs, but the joy of our Cards actually being in the Super Bowl was enough for me. Now my prayer is for the Cards to be Super Bowl champs at least one time during my life time and loss would be much more devastating.

Just cant watch it.

i have the whole playoff run copied to DVD and that one might get a look in a few years. I dont know why i wont watch it as the Harrison play and the final TD have been show so many times...maybe its just seeing it all pan out the way it did i cant handle.

I have watch the rest of the playoff games a few times, and the NFC champ game about 6 :)

I started to watch it, but had to stop after Dansby's interception with two minutes left in the first half. It would have been so much better if the Steelers would have just held on to the ball and scored an offensive touchdown to end the first half. That interception return kills me. But more than that, is that we came back to take the lead only to give up a game-winning-88-yard touchdown drive to end the game. FUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I deleted it from my DVR as soon as the game ended. No interest in watching it.

Selectively...

I ff past the ugly bits.

BTW One characteristic of virtually every playoff and Super Bowl game was that we'd successfully execute one gadget play per game that would invariably result in a game-changing TD or long gainer.

Edit to add---I've had women break my heart and I recovered much faster...

Same here. too painful to watch. Although, I must admit, I haven't watched any reruns of other games we've lost in the past either.

I've watched the other playoff games over, but I can't watch the Superbowl.

I am now proud of what we did, but I can't watch the end to either of those halves again.

One of my best friends is from Pittsburgh, and he's been nice about not bringing up the Superbowl... but when the Penguins one the Stanley Cup recently and he was talking about how great Pittsburgh sports again, it hurt all over again.

The poster above who made the analogy to getting over an ex-girlfriend hit it on the head. When the Penguins won, it felt like an ex calling just to say hi.

It doesn't bother me that the Cardinals lost the Super Bowl. I am happy that they made it to the Super Bowl. Sure it would have been much better if they had won but...

I am more concerned about how the team does this season! And if they are fortunate enough to get back to the GAME, I hope for a win next time.

I watched our final offensive drive because the TD by Fitz makes me teary eyed every time. I also have watched the final defensive stand (if you call it that) to see what our deficiencies were.

when i got back from tampa i thought i would erase it from my dvr. i haven't, but i haven't watched it either. in fact, i still have all 6 hours of pregame that remains unwatched. cheese and i did, however, watch Road to the Superbowl the other night. finally got to delete that from my dvr. i think i'll watch the superbowl this weekend and put it behind me. will give me that "unfinished business" feeling for the start of the season!

That's exactly how and why I watched it. But as I stated I actually came away from the replay feeling good about THIS season.
