Im quite accustomed to being either roasted or totally written off on this board.Careful oak- I got roasted before for suggesting it might make sense to move zaven back to ILB
so we just wait and see, lol

in a traditional 4-3 alignment I would startDoes Robinson move to DE in a more traditional 4-3?
Our 1st rounder Nolen rides the pine huh?in a traditional 4-3 alignment I would start
Sweat
Campbell
Tomlinson .................... Collins
Robinson
Burch
Ojulari/Browning
well its a rotation... could just as easily put Nolen in at DT and Robinson at DE... but Im guessing Nolen starts his career backing up Tomlinson and Burch backing up CCOur 1st rounder Nolen rides the pine huh?
Oh shoot did we draft another 24 year old??xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
I think you swap browning and Collins snaps and you’re close. Training camp could be a bloodbath.I don't see an issue with snaps here.
1a. Josh Sweat 60%-70%
1b. Baron Browning 40%-50%
2a. Jordan Burch 30%-40%
2b. BJ Ojulari 25%-35%
3a. Zaven Collins 15%-25%
3b. Xavier Thomas Inactive
X will be the next guy up with an injury and as we know that will happen. Burch and BJ will have ups and downs with playing time with one off an injury and one a rookie. Browning might even be a tad lower since he is a liability in against the run.
23 years 6 months 15 days.Oh shoot did we draft another 24 year old??
Burch is a high-potential player with athletic and physical gifts you can't teach. After finding his sweet spot of size and body composition, he can play in both odd and even fronts but projects best as a 4-3 defensive end. If he continues to master more pass-rush moves and hand usage, he can be a starter and a contributing player.
His 6-foot-5, 290-pound measureables give him true scheme versatility, which he shows in his tape, aligning anywhere from a 3-technique defensive tackle to a 7-technique outside linebacker. After re-shaping his body in the summer of 2024, he currently has his best combination of size, speed and strength (which has been a journey to find the sweet spot throughout his career). He has always been a very good weight-adjusted athlete and continues to be, winning with a nice first step and good leg drive as a pass-rusher.
Right now, his game lacks a consistent approach for a pass rush plan — the ball will be snapped before he’ll fire off the line and not know which move he’ll throw (too often not throwing one). Though he has a strong first step, he lacks the bend and flexibility to be a constant threat to the outside shoulder. He is improving as a passer-rusher, though, as 2024 was by far his most effective year in that category. He is a decent run defender but could stand to have a high floor.
We did, another old oneOh shoot did we draft another 24 year old??
Is he really old? If he pans out and plays well till he’s 31 he’s well worth a 3rd rounder for an “older” prospect. We did, another old one
Thing is, we will see very little physical improvement from him. Just a possible improvement in skills and techniques. Is he really old? If he pans out and plays well till he’s 31 he’s well worth a 3rd rounder for an “older” prospect.
Well, that’s apparently his specialty incredibly strong and just destroys people.Thing is, we will see very little physical improvement from him. Just a possible improvement in skills and techniques.
So if he can't bull rush guys in week 1 he likely never will.
Because he was destroying 19 and 20 year Olds. Won't be the case from here on outWell, that’s apparently his specialty incredibly strong and just destroys people.
Ehhh maybe maybe not a man among boys can still be a man amongst men.Because he was destroying 19 and 20 year Olds. Won't be the case from here on out
Because he's not worth a 3rd rounder.WHY NOT SKATTEBOO

He’s 295 but I’m hearing the Cards are thinking OLB because of the speed. I still see them playing him at DE in a 4-3 alignment.I have seen his weight reported from 267 to 295..not sure which is the truth. 267 puts him 3-4 OLB or 4-3 DE.....295 makes him a 3-4DE
Not sure where he is at. either way he needs to improve his hand usage
I hear he likes to play special teamsDude is going to kill people on special teams.
I like the pick. Always liked Burch but didn't think we would take edge outside round 1. I like him better than guys like Princely and Landon Jackson.
I'm at taking Edge more than taking Burch, but Monti isn't reaching it seems. He's just taking who is BPA on the board regardless of position and letting the chips fall where they may.
We have an extremely packed D line room now. Monti will surely look to move some guys out over the summer is he can. Guys like Nichols, Jones, even Zaven might be on the block if someone really likes him.
Princely wins on speed and agility. Burch is a rare speed/power combination. At times it looked to me like Burch picked the path of heaviest contact. That will be a harder path in the NFL and we’ll see if he has the agility to adjust. That may be why the Cards seem to be thinking OLB. You let the DL tie up the big blockers and unleash Burch upon the poor RB. I honestly can’t recall seeing this many weapons on a pass rush unit. I liked Princely because I felt they had enough power guys to open up lanes for agility guys. I’m not disappointed they took this guy with Princely gone. In fact I’m hearing they would have taken him anyway.Harry, if you don't mind, how does he compare to Princely? Thanks.
