Still hasn’t won us a playoff game or taken us to the Super Bowl.Honestly, if a fan dislikes Gannon’s approach, that’s why they’re just a fan. JG is the best find this team’s had in my forty years.

The Seahawks may not have made the playoffs, but they did win 10 games. For the record, the Cardinals lost twice to the Seahawks, who did not make the playoffs.
However, the Cards' loss to the Panthers was their only loss to a team with a losing record.
Arians was great, but hard to compare a coach in his 60’s to one in his 40’s. Arians took a short term approach, which produced early success, but not sustainable success. JG started with a gutted roster, has improved since 2023, and has an eye towards sustained success. 2025 will tell us a lot about where this franchise is heading. Being Cardinal fans, we know that anything is possible. But, it’s hard not to be optimistic.Arians is better
Arians won 1 playoff game and he didn’t take us to a Super Bowl either. Gannon was the only coach in my lifetime that took over a gutted roster in a full rebuild.Still hasn’t won us a playoff game or taken us to the Super Bowl.
It's not really that hard to compare them. The results are what they are:Arians was great, but hard to compare a coach in his 60’s to one in his 40’s. Let’s compare their records in 2 years. Gannon’s record will be better overall & the Cardinals won’t be losing NFC Championship games by 40 points like they did with Arians. It's not really that hard to compare them. The results are what they are:
Arians's first two years: 21-11
Gannon's first two years: 12-22
Gannon oversaw the gutting of a roster and kinda-sorta-if-you-squint was close to a winning record in his second season.
I'm fine and dandy with people being excited about Gannon. He looks like less of a goober today than he did two years ago. He might even be the third-best head coach in his division (maybe -- Seattle's guy was 10-7 his first season). But let's give him some time to prove himself. Let him earn the credit you're trying to hand out.
Kliff Kingsbury was 13-18-1 in his first two seasons as a head coach. Gannon is underperforming Kliff Kingsbury.
Okay but Arians' record through four years was 41-22-1. You're saying Gannon is gonna roll off 20 straight wins? Maybe mix in a tie somewhere?Let’s compare their records in 2 years. Gannon’s record will be better overall & the Cardinals won’t be losing NFC Championship games by 40 points like they did with Arians.
Let’s see if Gannon develops a QB. Arians didn’t.Okay but Arians' record through four years was 41-22-1. You're saying Gannon is gonna roll off 20 straight wins? Maybe mix in a tie somewhere?
Yeah. Again this is not how stats work.Kliff Kingsbury was 13-18-1 in his first two seasons as a head coach. Gannon is underperforming Kliff Kingsbury.
When Gannon’s next chapter is written then we can quibble a bit more, but until then the case kerouac9 has is tight as a drum.this will be gannon's first year where the team's strengths align with his - im thinking double digit wins
Bro wins are definitely a coaching stat. Kliff also took over a four-win team. This is a deranged take not based in reality.Yeah. Again this is not how stats work.
To do correlative comparisons, the dataset has to be the same.
You cannot state this definitely.
Your personal opinion is that you think Kliff did a better job with the talent available on the team vs. what Gannon has done with talent available.
Great take!![]()
Bro… The discussion point YOU stated is on relative performance. You measure performance comparative to baseline.Bro wins are definitely a coaching stat. Kliff also took over a four-win team. This is a deranged take not based in reality.
Arians coached 5 years & went 49-30-1. He went 1-2 in playoff games. He also didn’t have to go through a rebuild like Gannon has. Let’s wait and see what JG does in 5 years.Okay but Arians' record through four years was 41-22-1. You're saying Gannon is gonna roll off 20 straight wins? Maybe mix in a tie somewhere?
It's about to get to the point where that emoji, (like the big laugh one) will be considered trolling. (with punishment to follow)Not sure, what you find funny with my post K9.
Your stand right now is that if the Titans finish 7-10 and Eagles 8-9 this season, then Sirianni outperformed Callahan.
You are the one making a fool of yourself.![]()
LOL he didn’t? Who was the QB when he was brought on board?Arians coached 5 years & went 49-30-1. He went 1-2 in playoff games. He also didn’t have to go through a rebuild like Gannon has. Let’s wait and see what JG does in 5 years.
The deranged take is arguing that these two are identical.Bro wins are definitely a coaching stat. Kliff also took over a four-win team. This is a deranged take not based in reality.
Concur 100%Well, if we are going to have a stupid conversation..... How about Whisenhunt?
First three seasons was 8-8, 9-7, 10-6 with two Division titles, an NFC Championship and a 4-2 playoff record. Even Arians can't top that run. So, I go with Whiz as being the best coach here. If Gannon can go 15-2 this season he will have the same number of wins in his first three seasons as Whisenhunt did.
