OK, I checked the
Gridiron Uniform Database for the definitive info.
The Cards have had a few variants of black unis. They've had the current all blacks with black helmet since 2022 and they're 0-3 in that combo (2024 week 3 vs. Lions, and 2023 week 4 vs. Bengals and week 11 vs. Rams).
From 2017-2022 the Cards had the black Color Rush uniforms with red numbers, black pants, and the white helmet. They were 1-6 (won 2022 week 7 vs. Saints, lost in the infamous 2021 week 8 game vs. Packers, lost 2020 week 13 vs. Rams and week 11 at Seahawks, lost 2019 week 9 vs. 49ers, lost 2018 week 7 vs. Broncos, lost 2017 week 10 vs. Seahawks).
From 2010-2022 the Cards had the black jerseys with white numbers, which they wore with white pants and the white helmet. They were 8-9 (lost 2022 week 5 vs. Eagles, lost 2021 week 5 vs. 49ers, won 2020 week 7 vs. Seahawks, won 2019 week 6 vs. Falcons, lost 2018 week 14 vs. Lions, won 2017 week 6 vs. Buccaneers, lost 2016 week 4 vs. Rams, lost 2015 week 4 vs. Rams, won 2014 week 3 vs. 49ers, won 2013 week 10 vs. Texans and week 5 vs. Panthers, lost 2012 week 6 vs. Bills and won week 3 vs. Eagles, won 2011 week 9 vs. Rams and lost week 4 vs. Giants, lost 2010 week 12 vs. 49ers and week 8 vs. Buccaneers).
So to summarize... the Cards are 0-3 in the current all-blacks (with all three games at home), and were 1-6 in the old all-black Color Rush with white helmets (0-6 at home and 1-0 on the road). They were 8-9 in the old black jerseys with white numbers, white pants, and white helmet (all at home). So apparently the more white in the uniform, the better their win rate!
Nevertheless, I STILL love the all blacks!
