I do t want to rain on the parade because 7-1 is terrific. I’ve been impressed with how they’ve turned around last seasons fourth quarter losses to wins. Especially KDs clutch shooting this season.

I am, however concerned that we can’t seem to pull away from anyone. And other than Dallas we really haven’t played the top teams in the league (Boston, OKC, Minny, NYK, Denver, GS).

Definitely enjoying the ride. Really happy to see Dunn hit a couple threes last night.
Yeah I've had a dozen false starts on a post similar to this. I love the fact we are 7-1 but I can't recall ever being so unimpressed by such a stellar record.

Agreed. Phoenix has had a home-heavy start so far, as well, and still having issues with careless turnovers.

I'm particularly concerned about the heavy minutes KD and Book (to a lesser extent) are playing. Would love to give more run to guys like Morris, Dunn and even Okogie to balance the load. Plus, I think it'd be fun to run a Okogie, Dunn, O'Neale lineup at some point and have them just wreak havoc on the wings.

I think this is a fantastic start and once again KD is proving he is one of the best players in the league. We have a rookie with high potential that looks to be a difference maker. I just don't know how we stack up against the rest in the West. It's pretty bunched up and the West is going to be killer if this is any indication (yes I know it's early).

Surprised at KD’s minutes considering Bud never played Giannis over 33 mpg.

Ditto. It feels a bit flukish.

I am actually starting to get legit worried Booker has regressed and that scares me a bit.

Monte's minutes have pretty much dried up. Maybe he only got minutes with Beal out, but IMO we should be running full time with one of the PGs out there at all times.
Can't say I agree.

Our lineups are too small on the regular. I would much rather have Dunn, Royce and Grayson get more minutes over Monte. Really I would like to see Bol get some run.

KD has looked good - but I feel like we are doing too much ISO'ing at the top of the key with him.

I don't care what anyone says, we are a much better team when we are swinging the ball around.

I don't think anybody disagrees with that. However, I am giving the team some room for improvement. The team is clearly better with PG (which you didn't think would be the case because you thought they did one thing). It's hard for a team to break habits for sure. This is the 3rd system in 3 years. I agree they are doing it too much still but you can see noticeable improvement.

I don't disagree that the lineups are on the small side, but I'd still rather have Morris bringing the ball up the court and initiating over Book or Beal. Ideally Book and KD both get down to 32-35 mins, which would free up close to 10 mins to distribute to the group (Morris, Dunn, O'neale, Allen)

It does. I'm not really worried yet, I'm just not convinced yet either.

The Suns are not a well oiled machine at this point in time, however, their record gives me hope of what they can become once they get the tangles worked out.

Kevin Durant is averaging 28-7-3 on 66% TS to start the year. He's made 10 "clutch" shots this year, which leads the NBA. 10 for 15 from the field, also has 3 "clutch" blocks.

We're eight games in. So far it's impressive. The energy and spirit is much better. Sure, I would like coach to play more players, he's been quite tight ln the rotations. If it was up to me you'd see more Morris, Dunn, Oso, but it's early, who knows what it will look like in two weeks.

I'm watching. Keep going.
