I think had we won the Lew Alcindor coin flip and won a championship early on, this state could have become a sports state. But after so many decades of not winning titles, it's easy for fans to not expect much from their teams.
Eh it also owns much to the fact that the massive growth of this state was driven by transplants, not organic growth. Those transplants brought their allegiances with them. And if our teams weren’t good (or didn’t exist in the case of MLB and NHL) it was easy for the next generation to become attached to their parents teams.

He has Beal tho.

We both saw the same game. If Booker and Beal played well, their defense is still a sieve in the middle. This is the bigger problem.

It's a big reason the Suns have only won 3 of their last 11 games.

Booker has a lot of heart and it's being ripped out. He looks tired.

I thought we agreed he couldn't carry the Suns on his own.
We do agree. But there’s a difference between carrying the team and flat out playing like crap. Without KD, he’s not even good this season. That’s a big problem.

I look at other players besides Booker. This is where we may differ?

Yeah… I look at the guy making 50 million dollars and is supposed to be a superstar and is stinking up the court. I don’t know really understand why you’re looking at anyone else who’s currently playing.

I look at the players who aren't playing too... like Kevin Durant... not that the Suns don't need a presence in the middle as well.

I mean in his game you can’t really complain about anybody but Booker and Beal.

In fact if they had been benched I think we would have won.

Then did you see they combined for 11 makes?

Orlando hasn’t had banchero for most of the year, and they don’t have any 50 million dollar players, but they aren’t having any problems competing every night.

Face it you are just making excuses for a bad team.

Props to anyone who can consistently watch this team... I didn't even like what I saw in general when we were winning. I can only imagine how gross it looks now.

I didn't put the team together. I've made abundantly clear, I would never have done the Durant trade as it was constructed.

I don’t care about KD. He can’t be depended on because of injuries. Sadly, Booker looks like he can’t be depended on to make a difference because he’s just not good enough without an NBA legend HOF like CP3 or KD next to him.

Harsh reality is Book’s teams without those guys have been either painfully mediocre or flat out atrocious his entire career.

He used to be able to do it. You are supposed to be at the peak of your career at 28. He is having the worst year of his career.

Did you see the Suns prior to Chris Paul and Jae Crowder?

Check my quotes. It's the opposite. You were for it. I was against the trade.
Lol… sarcasm is completely lost on you. Yes, I’m aware of the dead horse you insist on beating in literally every conversation.

Yeah. Those teams looked a lot like they do now, where Booker makes no impact on wins and losses and the team isn’t just bad, but amongst the worst teams in the league.

Ishbia has to be fed up with what’s he’s seeing from his $200m luxury tax bill roster.

I would hope, but do you think he would backtrack on the decisions he has made?

I guess changing GMs might be the easiest, but it's hard to undo what has been done with few assets.

We're stuck in NBA purgatory. Not good enough to compete, not bad enough to bottom out, and no assets in the cupboard. Not having our own picks makes the prospect of bottoming out a fools errand anyways. We need to get on the phone with Houston and try to get our picks back before we go in another direction. I'd rather the clowns who made the KD trade not be guiding the ship of a rebuild either if we hope for a better result.

Booker wants to be that guy. Where we disagree, I think the Suns should have kept building on their core of Booker, Bridges and Cam Johnson. Plus, they had expiring contracts and all their draft picks.

However, we have discussed this before. It's guess it's a philosophical difference, which is okay. Everyone looks at things differently.
