Read article couple of days ago that said Pittsburgh will make an effort to trade for Kyler Murray. The article said Pittsburgh has soured on the QBs currently on their roster and that they won’t draft high enough to secure a new starter. Arizona, the article said, wants to move on from Kyler, even if it means they’ll have to spend big bucks for a free agent QB. Cards do have a ton of dollars to spend on free agents, if they choose. Sorry I don’t have the link to the article. Anyone else thinks this might be a possibility?

Well this comes out of left field.
I did see an article that claims we will entertain trade talks.

Oh, that would be a dream. Let him be the Stillers' headache and I would get to hear Stiller nation bitching about him all year long. Please let this be true!

As to their QB situation, it is in flux. Under a month ago, it was a given that the Stillers would offer Wilson good money to return. Now he's a huge question mark and many are wondering if he's worth that money. Some want to give him 30 mill for two seasons, some want him gone and to bring Fields back for less. Some like neither option and want to run it back with a completely new QB room. Now maybe some want to trade for KM. What do the Stillers actually want to do, and what will they do? Hmm...

Trade Kyler for their #1. Package our two # 1 picks to move up and draft our future qb.
But wait. Who?

Nah, trade Kyler for their #1. Sign either a top or stopgap FA QB with a shorter term, frontloaded deal. Go DT/Edge in rd 1, flesh out the roster, and let's go.

Colin Cowherd brought this up recently:

I found this quote amusing:

"I was always a defender on Kyler Murray because I thought he was a better version talent-wise of Russell Wilson."

Meanwhile back when Kyler was drafted by Arizona, Colin said the following:

“Dwayne Haskins is the future,” Cowherd said. “Not Kyler Murray.”

I'm okay with unloading Kyler to the Steelers.

With that said, I wouldn't be surprised if he took that team to the SB. Kyler doesn't even need to be Average Man in Piitsburgh to win 11+ games.

Not at all. According to OvertheCap, the Cards would save nearly $15MM on the cap by trading Murray in 2025.

I don't know when Kyler's $11.9MM roster bonus is payable; I'm sure Michael and the trust wouldn't be thrilled to pay Kyler nearly $12MM to go away, though.

Id probably Trade Kyler then sign Russell. I know he's a douche and imperfect, but if I could get him for a lot less and get a 1st for Murray, I'd do it.
I don't know if you can get Russ for less than $30 million per year as a starter. Geno is making $25MM and is far less accomplished.

I mean we saw what the Rams/49ers/Seahawks was like for him. Not sure being in a physical division + weather issues would be ideal for him.

I think the Steelers would rather spend less on Fields or Russ again.

I still think the Colts is the spot if we trade him. Gannon/Steichen colleagues in Philly, etc.

It takes a gunslinger to open up a Browns offense.

Oh no. There are some major problems with the Steelers. Their D is much more expensive and talented than ours, yet totally dysfunctional. They have a worse WR room than ours. Things are not all frosty in the 'Burgh.

QBs in this draft are trash.

Your choices are stop gaps, like Double A Ron or Curt Cousins....throwing big money at someone like Darnold....or trying to trade for a QB like JJ McCarthy, if Minny keeps the Darnold.
