Why was Harrison Still in the game at the end

    Ah, true enough then.

Why was Harrison Still in the game at the end

I think he was referring to the play where Harrison blocked a guy and then took some wacky swings/shoves at his back before throwing his man like a ragdog. I could see him getting tossed, I guess. I guess the personal foul was enough for the refs. NFL players almost never get tossed from...

    Good Luck from Eagles fans

Bummer. Sorry, Cards fans. Some mild irony in the way it ended in comparison to the NFCC game. Big comeback score, defense allows opponent to get a field-stretching score for the lead, then a sketchy call at the end to end regulation. Hurts all the same.

    Mr. Fitzgerald v. Sheldon Brown

If this was an Eagles board and the Eagles just won, we'd have one "what went wrong, where were they beaten on certain plays, what should they improves" thread for every victory thread. And you'd be welcome to comment in all of em. And I'd back you if someone was needlessly giving you crap...

Getting "Hochulied" - time for the NFL to have a chat with its refs

It didn't hit him before the bounce, heading out. It hit him after the bounce, heading in. Pretty clear it got him on the forearm on all the TV replays lat night.

    Shout out on D McNabb

I appreciate seeing names brought out for debate, but none of those guys were ever destinced to be the WR this team actually needs. Maybe Stallworth, but he was here one year and they let him walk. LJ was a lucky grab from a local college - and can't really count that since every team wants to...

    Mr. Fitzgerald v. Sheldon Brown

Yes. Clearly your team won 110% of every battle in that game. I must have not seen it. You are the real champ - not the Cardinals or the Eagles. If things happen to not go your way in two weeks, may you forever recall how you handled these moments of relished victory. It's a football game...

    Mr. Fitzgerald v. Sheldon Brown

I have hated that guy from day one. He is utterly overrated and terribly soft. He might get his picks but only because he is allowed to gamble with a safely up top. Samuel drove me insane yesterday. 10-12 yard cushions on every play - even on 3rd and 2. And there was on play where two...

Frankly I didn't even see double coverage called very often on Fitz's catches. And triple coverage probably wouldn't have helped.

No doubt Fitz earned all of that. There ya go. Single coverage is inexcusable.

    Shout out on D McNabb

When? They haven't taken a big WR in the draft or in free agency since that tiny run with Owens. In eight freaking years. Trust me - it's our biggest gripe as a fanbase.

Mulli, I've mentioned T.O. by name in my 2 of 3 posts so far in this thread. Do I need to say his name every time for it to count?

    Mr. Fitzgerald v. Sheldon Brown

Oh please. Like I'm being some kinda apologistic a-hole for saying that the defensive calls were piss poor last night? If I don't own up to that then I'm a fairweather fan at best and don't know my favorite team at all. Warner plays well in dump-off passes against a blitz. Arizona runs good...

Getting "Hochulied" - time for the NFL to have a chat with its refs

Do a search on my posts from last night. I linked to it a few times for the Curtis/Hood 4th down play.

    Shout out on D McNabb

Hank Baskett is the only one that really counts. The rest were complete castoffs from a pre-McNabb era. Reggie Brown is a clear bust and Baskett is a competant 4th stringer at best. That still leaves them leaps and bounds away from a true sizable #1 or even #2 caliber WR on the team in eight...

    Mr. Fitzgerald v. Sheldon Brown

Alrighty then. Must be a different breed of fan that doesn't accept humble defeat from an opposing fan while maintaining a fair distinction on the ref calls and non-calls.

    Picking on Hood

Again just being honest, but I think DRC would have picked off the ball he DID bat down.

You literally quoted my comment on the PAT. Here it is again: "it was a terrible hold on the extra point. Laces in."
  20. R

    Mr. Fitzgerald v. Sheldon Brown

Can't do it. Isn't honest. For whatever reason I am a fan that watches calls like a hawk and usually is upset by them for both teams involved - more so than anyone I know. I know my football and I saw several of the Cards big offensive plays happen even before the ball was snapped. The Eagles...

Meh. He missed a long FG (standard NFL kicks) and it was a terrible hold on the extra point. Laces in. Still money but the guy gets older every year. His existing playoff record was the only reason it was noteworthy.

    Shout out on D McNabb

Apologies - I think the Williams reference is for another team. Jackson was a standout for sure but it's another luck-of-the-draw draft pick. Just like Westbrook. LJ is a liability that the real fans haven't liked for at least 2-3 years now. We're happy that Celek might actually overtake him...

    Mr. Fitzgerald v. Sheldon Brown

I've already said several times that the Eagles played this game with a terible defensive scheme. I wasn't calling the plays. I'm just a fan. A fan that was irate at what I was seeing. The Eagles D can clearly excel when the play calling and game planning is correct for a given opponent...

    Mr. Fitzgerald v. Sheldon Brown

No offense taken. As an Eagles fan? Not really. The Eagles D failed from the start when they didn't cover Fitzgerald all day with double coverage. Absolutely inexcusable. The offense was lucky to get them back into the game. But I, like many of my fellow fans, are of the feeling that we...
