I agree, Jay. They tried it once before. The Eclipse.
What a joke. Pretty decent crowd for the opener, maybe 5-6,000 at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Then by the third or fourth home game, less than 100 people in the crowd. We sat behind the Detroit Dawgs bench and talked to their players and...
InsideLacrosse.com reports Sting will go dark for 2008 season, which REALLY SUCKS. I don't see them coming back in the future, either. If they don't, it will be a true shame but I can say those guys were great. Great success on the field and real gentleman off of it. What really burns me is this...
Great news, I have been to every home game the past 2 years including the title game last year. The games are a blast, I just wish more people knew about the Sting.
Here's the worst news of all:
It appears the 2008 NLL season is about to be saved but the Sting may still cease operations. Likely, we lose all our players (Dawson, Conn, etc.) to a dispersal draft or they become free agents.
THAT SUCKS.
I don't believe one-game playoffs are played to determine division winners, only to determine entry into the postseason. Since we could now at worse tie with the Padres and we have the head-to-head advantage, we are the West champs. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. LOL.
Can't win a game in Pittsburgh? This is sickening.
Somehow, we still have the best record in the NL but have three teams within 2 games of us after tonight.
I'm not feeling good about these last four.
Please, guys, prove me wrong.
