theres a difference between playing NT in a 4-3 and a 3-4. it doesnt really matter what you play in a 4-3 defense. nose tackle, under tackle. not that big of a deal. a lot of teams line up their bigger players at UT instead of NT.
and no, clancy wasnt dominant at all. and i dont want to see...
branch is NOT a 3-4 nose tackle. hes too tall, not bulky enough. he should lose about 10 pounds and then switch to DE in a 3-4 defense. or he could stay at 320 and play DT in a 4-3. but thats about it. plus he can rush the passer. hes not a 3-4 NT.
dansby at ILB sounds good to me. he could become a bart scott like linebacker. scott had 100+ tackles, 10 sacks and 2 interceptions i believe while playing 3-4 ILB and 4-3 OLB at the same time. we need to do the same with dansby. i cant read the article right now because their website is down or...
i dont know about that. clancy is a solid 4-3 NT but i would much rather have watson in there as a 3-4 NT. and i think the LBs would prefer him over clancy as well
Cardinals | Team may alter defense

Kent Somers, of the Arizona Republic, reports the Arizona Cardinals may use more 3-4 defensive staples, including zone blitzing, during the 2007 season.
well we have a prototypical NT, thats the most important thing in a 3-4 defense. monty beisel played for the pats, so he's got some 3-4 ILB experience. dansby is big, a great pass rusher. so is okeafor and pace (OLB set). hayes is not the fastest guy so he might look even better as a 3-4 ILB...
its josh wilson ;)
i think hes a great corner though. excellent speed and cover skills and hes very physical who can play the run as well. also he could become a great punt returner. the only real knock on him is his size (5'9). he will be a 2nd round pick, or 3rd at worst. reminds me a little...
nah he wasnt moving for about 2 seconds and then he jumped up and was a bit dizzy after that i believe because at first he was walking down the sideline and then he ran to taylor
do you even know what a cheapshot is? it was a perfect hit. it doesnt get any better. who cares if its a kicker or not. the guy is bigger than some WRs or RBs in the nfl. he tried to get the first down and got knocked out. thats how you play the game. its not like when eagles LB trotter knocked...
right on! 4 seasons, 40 sacks, defensive rookie of the year, 2 pro bowls and counting. oh and he went to arizona state. thank god we didnt draft him! :clapping:
:(
it was an unbelievable hit and i loved it. moorman couldve gone out of bounds but he cut back inside and then he got knocked the f*ck out by taylor. adrian wilson loved the hit also as he was the first one to high-5 taylor after that play. man that would be sick. taylor and wilson at safety for...
he's not. he wasnt even 5 years ago when he was smaller and younger so how is he supposed to be faster than dansby right now with all the bulk he added? as for peterson: the 49ers let him go because he lost a step (knee injuries etc). bart scott is a beast but hes not 4.5 fast nor can he cover...
Uh yeah right...
- Urlacher is a great athlete but he's not as fast as Dansby. He's probably somewhere in the 4.7 range. Also he doesnt cover receiver 1 on 1. He cant. He's not athletic enough to stay on tight ends or even slot receivers.
- DJ Williams is way too small. Not great in coverage...
