    Suns 2007-08 Schedule released

Starting out with a lot of road games is good. The Suns always start out slow, so we may as well waste some of those bad games on the road. I smell another double digit win streek in the middle of the year.

    Suns could have had Garnett?

Part of me thinks that Atlanta wanted Amare and the Atlanta pick, which is too much.

    Rumor: Gomes to be cut?

I don't get why they would waive him. Why not just trade him to us for a second round pick? We can absorb him with part of the James Jones trade exception and still have all of our KT exception to use over the next year if anything really amazing shows up.

    Rumor: Gomes to be cut?

He'd definitely play power forward for us. That would mean that Amare/Diaw and maybe Marks would play center, and Marion/Gomes/Diaw would play power forward.

    Rumor: Gomes to be cut?

So does that mean he could re-sign with Boston after 3 weeks? That doesn't seem like much of a deterrent.

    Rumor: Gomes to be cut?

http://www.celticsblog.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1053&Itemid=55 Isn't there a rule now that players can't get cut after a trade and re-sign with their previous team for a year? Isn't that the Gary Payton rule from another Celtics trade? If he does get cut, though, I...

Suns wanted KG but Wolves did not want Amare!

And who loses money when they win the championship, let alone three?

    Hudson is bought out

Come on, Eric. Who gave you the keys to the doomsday machine? Ever since the Kurt Thomas trade, you've been comically negative about every single Suns projection. Is this 2004 all over again, where everyone says that D'Antoni just rolls a ball out onto the floor and tells them to play? You...

    One-On-One With Jay Humphries

http://www.nba.com/suns/news/bgf_jay0707.html Sounds like he's putting a lot of focus into Marcus Banks. If he can do for Banks what Dan D'An did for Barbosa, this was a great addition.

    Hudson is bought out

Obviously, nobody thinks that trading KT and two draft picks for nothing is a good trade for us from a talent standpoint. But I do think D'Antoni has talked himself into believing that he wouldn't really have used him next year anyway, except in emergencies, and that it wasn't worth the money.

    Hudson is bought out

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2956359 Sounds like he may want to go to Boston to team up with KG. He's not very good, but he would immediately become the 4th best player on their team. Would anybody here take him for the minimum?

    Kobe?

    Kobe for Pierce!

Suns wanted KG but Wolves did not want Amare!

It could also have been financial. In addition, if McHale had traded for Stoudemire and then his knee gave out, he would never be able to live it down. Getting Jefferson means they can play the "we're young" card for a long time, keep costs down and not have to worry about too much pressure.

    KG traded to Celtics...

On the plus side, this seriously helps Marion's chances of making the All-Star team this year!
  17. F

    Suns Minny??

There's no way in hell I give up the Atlanta pick in this deal. Marion also doesn't want to go to Minnesota. There's no trade that makes any sense here. Blount makes too much money. The only player who would actually be helpful as a player and from a contract standpoint would be Ricky Davis...

    KG traded to Celtics...

First of all, a lot of media outlets are reporting that Gomes will be included. Also, Powe, Allen, Pruitt, Davis and Scalabrine wouldn't make our rotation. The only guys on the Celtics who would make our rotation are Garnett, Allen, Pierce and maybe Perkins.

    KG traded to Celtics...

They might consider a Banks for Scalabrine trade. I'm not sure it helps either team all that much, but Scalabrine makes less money than Banks and his contract runs a year shorter. He's also taller than our entire roster, so that could be fun.

    KG traded to Celtics...

They've already said that Hudson is going to be bought out, and I think Griffin is already a goner. The only attainable guys on their team that I'd want are Jaric and Davis, but not for the money they get. Unless they get bought out, I wouldn't touch them.

    KG traded to Celtics...

Also, am I the only one who doesn't think that Jeff Van Gundy shouldn't replace Doc Rivers, like, now?

    KG traded to Celtics...

Their bench is going to average about 12 points a game next season.

Stein: Celtics, T-Wolves discussing Garnett trade again

If this trade goes down, the Celtics wouldn't be able to beat the Suns in a 7 game series. They have a worse bench and a worse starting five. Nash would go to town on their opposing point guards, Kendrick Perkins would have to guard a certain amount of Amare Stoudemire (good luck!) and then...

    Hurry Up, Kerr. We're Waiting!

Although, it would be pretty funny if he was waived toward the end of the season so that he could play for a contender and then signed with the Suns for the minimum. On the other hand, I'd probably throw up if he was waived and signed with the Spurs for the midlevel.
