    I can't imagine that if the Suns acquired him, he'd act like a punk. He has a ton of respect for Nash and Shaq, and a shot at a title. He'd play his tail off. He could be a little upset-- but he'd get the job done, and it's better than staying on the Clippers.

    Well, usually players that are bought out have salaries that are too big for someone to want to grab them off waivers. This is a rare case because of the trade exceptions-- and it's a highly coveted playoff performer.

    It's pretty reasonable for the Suns to have dropped 4 games in the standings incorporating Shaq. Those 4 games could have been enough to miss the playoffs outright. He's not saying the Suns would have sucked-- the West was just that deep.

    I'm under the impression that a buyout is simply a restructuring of the contract before they get waived. A player still has to be waived, and still has to clear waivers, doesn't he?
