Yeah, the mock draft I see (and run) have him being gone in most cases when we pick. With QBs going high the Cards should be in a good position to draft either for need, BPA, or BPA that fills a need.
I've watched Simmons for a while and absolutely love his versatility.
How cool would it be to be able to leave a our base personnel in for most circumstances?
It's a buyers market for RBs this year (and many years) it just remains to be seen if the Cards are buying.
Between the draft and FA there should be a number of backs better than anyone on our roster now.
He had better position and looked like a receiver trying to make a play on the ball. If the roles were reversed and that was a TE or WR then the other player would be called every time.
Very bad call IMO.
On the good call front, I'm glad the luster has
I'm not upset and have a positive attitude overall.
So much of the core of this team is young so we should see improvement. Still, we can't be certain that the team WILL get better in the off season.
I like Kinlaw a good bit and often pick him when I run draft simulations. In the interest of full disclosure, I attended South Carolina.
FWIW it's worth he appears to be better than any of the lineman we have at present. He has a knack for getting to the QB and has a reputation for being one of...
I want to see DJ and Drake on the field at the same time. DJ can be our Larry Centers.
No lie, if I'm Kliff I roll with the notion that our three backs are better than most (if not all) of our receivers and utilize them as much as possible. I take a page out of the Patriots' play book from last...
That's what had me hopeful. He's already shown much more ability to adapt to personal and situations than any of the last three head coaches. No more of the "the scheme works the players just need to execute" mindset.
There was a lot of talk about how he was brought in to revolutionize the game...
Funny how Cooper was way more impactful at South Carolina than Byrd.
That doesn't always transfer to the pros, for sure (see Hopknis v Watkins as well).
It's not uncommon for NCAA receivers to be completely open and the QBs feast on that. Tua trying to pass against PP with a Chandler Jones bearing down on him would be a different scenario altogether.
