Our complete ineptitude in the 4th quarter points mostly at the coach as well. He may not be a bad coach, but he is certainly not the coach for this team..
He is talking about career playoff stats. This year has edged his career numbers above those metrics. Booker was amazing last year, but his career numbers (28 ppg, 48% FG%, 39% 3P%) are a bit below Edward's in the post season and that is why he doesn't reach those same metrics.
Edit: Saw the...
This year is his only year reaching those metrics. Booker last year was higher in points, FG% and 3P%. Of course Edwards is doing this at a younger age.
LeBron would be perpetually injured if he played football. He also probably would have been a defensive lineman if anything had he actually came up through football instead.
There are players that have the strength, size and athleticism for it, but there is a ton of nuanced skills that go into every position on the field. So they likely wouldn't be effective at all.
If I remember correctly the talk at the time was that Brunson was a better player, but Okobo had more potential. Turns out Brunson was not only the better player, but also looks to have had more potential as well..
The truth is that we won't know how much losing a step will affect him until it happens.
His game may not be built around speed, but it is built around his speed. Frank Gore seems to be an outlier at this point, but shows that it could be possible.
It's not about affording it, it is the signal they are giving the whole organization that winning now isn't a priority. It specifically sends a message to Cousins that it's not about winning right now with him. It's just a weird move IMO.
Just seems dumb to give a guy 100m guaranteed and instead of using a high end pick to bring in talent to make the team better around him you draft his successor.
Makes some sense to build more towards one strength or the other. Establish a great run game and teams will have to be a little cautious with pinning their ears back to rush the passer. Of course you can also wear out the opposing front by pounding it down their throats early in the game and...
There are a bunch of reasons a player may not look great with their college team and look good at the senior bowl. For one they may be asked to play out of position for their college team, they may play for a coach that isn't great at putting them in positions to succeed and they may not be...
Kyler can make all those throws outside the numbers. Remember what he had going between him and DHop? There is a solid chance he can get something similar going with MHJ. Either way MHJ still showed out this past season with a much lesser QB than Stroud or Kyler.
I get that there are no guarantees with MHJ, but I do think he is ahead of the curve for a rookie. His route running is already amongst the best receivers in the league and he has been taking the same off season approach that a league vet would be taking. The question will be just how much...
Only looked at the Kiper grades as I don't feel like spending forever looking it up.
2019 B+, 2020 B, 2021 B-, 2022 B, 2023 A-.
The way I see NFL draft grades is A=A, B=C and C=F since they pretty much never give out anything under a C.
I mean their pre draft workouts don't agree with the more athletic assessment. Palmer has Rice in 40 time, bench reps and broad jump. Rice has him by about an inch in vertical.
At this rate I don't see any reason to think Rice would have been a better pick than Palmer. Nearly identical production last year and Palmer actually comes out slightly ahead. Rice did do that at a better program of course and while it means tougher competition it also mens he had had better...
