Early Thoughts on Cardinals' Rookie Mini-Camp

I don't see it. He seems way average as a college receiver so no way the Cards have the patience to develop him. Go look at some freshman tape of N'keal Harry to see the difference between natural ability. Sure the kid is 6'6" but he doesn't seem to use his body that well.

    Giving Props to the Cardinals

I didn't take Mitch's post that way. I think had Washington been more willing to accept a reasonable minimum wage it would have demonstrated an appropriate awareness of what he did to this organization...Mitch's litmus test was "humble, contrite and sincere....and that they truly understand the...

Jimmy G: Are the Patriots really ready to franchise him next year?

Why? Isn't he a FA next year?

Jimmy G: Are the Patriots really ready to franchise him next year?

This was the year to do that deal because Cleveland has the need and had the picks. The rebuffed them multiple times.

    DWash

So based on all this cap input does anyone have an accurate perspective on whether D Wash has any cap hit in 2017 for bonus $$ or would his only hit be for salary? If that were the case there is no harm in keeping him right up to the final cuts and if he still has it keep him or trade him...

    DWash

Thought this tweet from Fitz earlier in the week was an interesting look into how at least one of the Cardinal leaders views on D Wash's reinstatement. Granted, Fitz doesn't have much pull with the organization when it comes to troubled players (see Floyd) but he appears to have an open mind...

    Cardinals draft Dilemma

I don't expect Carson to retire after this year which makes the need to reach to grab that QB less likely. I think if a good solution drops in our lap then pull the trigger. If not wait til next year when the QB class is much stronger and grab him then.

    Peppers

Reminds me of a huge version of Honey Badger. Especially his nose for the ball and the way he knifes through blockers to get to the ball.

I agree with this. Usually aggressiveness physically ties with the overall competitive mentality.

    Keim's Epiphany?

I agree with you guys. When I read down the list of starters I am surprised at how capable we seem. Then you add in some draft picks for depth and the future and I can see a transition to keep winning. That starts with a QBOF, ILBOF and a CB of the present. A WROF wouldn't surprise me but would...

    Keim's Epiphany?

I don't think so. He is a coaches son and said to be a student of the game. I just don't think he was ready for prime time which seems to be a common thread among all the rookies we draft. We must use unusually difficult systems on both sides of the ball.

Cardinals may seek another veteran QB to lead the team

He is the only one I would want but can't imagine the timing and money working given Carsons contract.

    Bethel signs paycut

Yea that and he just saw Jefferson get paid so he is one and done. If he has a good year don't expect him to come back to the Cards in 2018. I like the thinking. Feels like a Patriot's move.

sky is falling because everyone is leaving?

I like the idea of loading up on some young talent and then next year we will have tons of cap room when Fitz and Carson retire plus a bunch of comp picks. I say this year we focus on skill positions in a deep draft and grab QBOF, ILBOF, CBOF & WROF and let them learn under Carson, Carlos, PP...
