If you haven't had a chance to view Brett Kollman's Film Study analyses...they are truly excellent.

Here's the one he did on Michigan S Jabrill Peppers.

Kollman highlights the fact that Don Brown, Michigan's DC, was forced to move Peppers to outside linebacker because he needed his best athlete to funnel plays into the middle of the Wolverine's stout defense. Kollman notes how unselfish and disciplined Peppers was in assuming this role. He also notes how Peppers had to play a ton of zone coverage, but that when he was asked to play man to man he demonstrated sticky CB skills.

What's so encouraging about this analysis is how coachable Peppers is and how eager he is to do whatever it takes to win. Plus, Peppers' performances on STs are electrifying. Moreover, he can be utilized as a spot, pick-me-up RB

I believe that the way the Cardinals like to play 3-4 safeties on the field at the same time, Peppers would be an instant fit. I also believe that he can play SS, FS and nickel CB/S. BA&SK always talk about wanting to draft gym rats, players of high passion and character and players who have a knack for processing information -- well, Peppers meets all of the above.

Give yourself a treat and watch this analysis.

I like the kid, but every time I watch film of him I see Antrel Rolle. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing..

Kids a player and extremely versatile. Teams that have a history of drafting good players not combine monsters will grab him and he'll likely be a good player for that organization.

I can't rid my mind of one question:

If the Cardinals are all-in with a defensive system that relies on a hybrid 3rd safety and a hybrid $LB, how will they handle injuries to Tyrann and Bucc depthwise?

I'd be ecstatic if we drafted Peppers to push/backup Bucc and Budda to push/backup the Badger.

That would make us 2-deep at two crucial defensive positions.

I would love to add Peppers to our team. I think he brings intelligence, leadership, toughness and versatility. He is an exceptional open field tackler, much like TM. I don't think he has enough experience in coverage to play FS day one, but could potentially down the road because of his elite athleticism. I think he would be plugged right into TJ's spot and will flourish. I think he is a smaller, but quicker version of Chancelor. Very similar personalities and leadership skills.

If the Cardinals draft Peppers, I'll be content because I think they would use him right. His versatility is a huge plus, and the Cardinals have probably been the best in the league at using hybrid defenders over the past few years.

Reminds me of a huge version of Honey Badger. Especially his nose for the ball and the way he knifes through blockers to get to the ball.

Peppers ability to excel at Special teams is very interesting. He would not only be a versatile DB, but he would also finally answer our questions at Punt and Kick returner. I'm guessing he would be a good gunner as well on coverage teams. His versatility and ability to excel at special teams may make him a viable prospect for the Cardinals. Especially if they trade out of their pick and move back a few spots.

The Cardinals have shown that they like to put their best players on the field. That is why we saw so many formations where they played 3-4 safeties over the last couple of years. If they draft Peppers I'm confident they would find a way to get him on the field.

Defensively, he could probably have more impact on the back of the defense than any other prospect.

He can man cover, stop the run, and blitz here and there. And yes, I agree, his impact on special teams could be even greater.

He can't do neither of things good, which is why I & most other people don't understand why he's touted as a 1st round pick by some. He's literally getting by cause of hype.

Take a closer look at his tapes -- Peppers is a sticky cover guy and he comes up hard to make good tackles. Might be the best tackler in space in this draft.

Just reminds me of him and Jefferson. I think they could find a spot for him. They would have to use the 13 on him. They'll have some options there. Same strengths as the badger.

I've seen plenty of film im not impressed. Sure he does a lot of things good but not one thing great. He's not top 5 at CB he's at best the #4 safety behind Adams, Hooker and Baker not top 5 at LB.

We have much greater needs than a guy like Peppers.

Thats not true at all. He isnt great in man coverage against #1 receivers, but if he's getting asked to cover backs and tight ends, he will excel.

This is why he was playing corner for awhile but moved into a hybrid role, he is good playing in space.

I agree he is like a larger HB, and I think we could use him. He wouldn't be my favorite pick but he would be useful.

Umm... I violently disagree! Mayock has him as his #1 Safety ahead of both Hooker and Adams, and he's the best talent evaluator out there. Lots more hits than misses.

The biggest question for me isn't can Peppers play SS or Nickel CB, but can he excel at FS? We'd already be getting a potential Pro bowler in the return game. To me it's a no brainer pick if he's there at 13 unless someone better falls (i.e.: Thomas, Allen, Lattimore)

I think he's there at 13. I think the TM comparisons are fair. He's likely better in coverage than TM, but not as big a hitter. If he's playing defense it's risky to use him on special teams or the offense due to injury potential. He wouldn't be a horrible choice at 13, but I think he'd help more in the future than 2017. If the Cards are serious about making the 2017 playoffs he's not a strong choice.

That's great well see who gets drafted first Adams, Hooker or Peppers.

He is a good fit with cards defense he can play a few spots and he loves football.
This would be a decent pick where he is slotted now won't matter much when he is a pro bowler in a few years.

I think he could be the best SS in the NFL if he is playing in the right system. Not many SS can cover and run like he can.

I'm on the fence about Peppers. I originally didn't like him but he has grown on me a bit. I think there are better players at 13 but he brings a lot of versatility. You can't go wrong having athletes like PP, Mathieu, and a guy like Peppers running around your secondary.

It's strange because I don't think he has good ball skills as a DB but is a dynamic player with the ball in his hands. It all depends on how the draft falls but I'd be okay if all the "better" players, like Foster, Howard, etc., are gone.

Funny - When I think of a Tyrann clone, I think of Budda Baker. When I think of a Buccanon clone, I think of Peppers.

One of each, please.

Peppers is a better athlete than Bucannon.

I agree with Harry that he would be a good pick, but not the best pick.
